I have been on unemployment since February 07 and been struggling to find a job. And now still jobless I just wanna know how i get an extension on my benefits. I been applying everywere and calling left and right, but still no interviews, and no luck. Somebody please help.

I know what you are talking about, I too had been receiving unemployment benefits since January 07. The only time the government give extensions out is when they consider the unemployment rate to be high or there is an economic recession. I myself feel that unemployment should at least be given for a year. I worked at my job for 12 yrs. and the company closed down. I would suggest getting help through the employment program from the unemployment office, which is what I am doing at this moment. I think our government need to think about extending benefits for at least a year.

February and still have not found work to do??? There are no extensions. Once your insurance fund has dried up their is no more money to collect...
Don't need an interview to get work...

Benefits are not extended once they run out.
Benefits are only good for 6 months.

There are no extensions. Get a job.
