I don't think its a sty unless you see a white dot that is kinda like a pimple. You should probably get some special eye drops for dry irritated eyes. What ever you do don't rub your eye! You could make it worse.
It does sound like a sty now... there are some home remedies I have heard to do for a sty.... First opion is put a warm tea bag over your eye forawhile or Cucumber slices. I don't know if they actually work though but it does make you eye feel better. When I have stys I just have to wait for it to go away. And don't mess with it!!

Could be allergies or the beginning of pink-eye (conjunctivitis). A sty usually forms on the edge of your eyelid and not on the eyeball, itself. Go to a minor emergency clinic and make sure it is not pink-eye (in the which case, you'll need an antibiotic). If it is just a case of allergies, OTC eyedrops and/or an antihistamine should clear it up.

When I have a sty it just feels like something is in my eye like a hair or piece of sand. Could you be getting the start of Pink Eye?

It could be a minor infection or worse like pink or red eye forming. Go see a doctor who can check it out and give you medicated eye drops if necessary.

its a sty peal a piece of potato and cover it over your eye.
be sure to skin the potato first. change periodically. It will draw out the infection. I swear by it. Not a refrigerated potato either !

Could be a sty or maybe your tear duct is infected.. Try warm compresses it will help with both.

If it puffs up its a sty, because everything else also matches the description

having a Stye is like a bubble or bal in ur eye lid. Sound like you dont have one. but maybe you have pink eye. You should use eye drops.

If it continues to worsen see your doctor.
