Sooo wait....according to Christians Gandhi is in hell right?

B/c i once asked some question about going to hell and someone said that according to the bible and Chrisitan Gandhi should be in hell.

But that makes no sense he was such a nice guy. A Hindu sure, but he was awesome right?

So if God is so nice and forgiving wouldn't it only make sense that he lets gandhi into heaven (assuming there is one)

It doesn't make sense. Better to adopt the atheist wager:

Live as if there are no gods, enjoy life, and be a decent person. If there is indeed a just god, you will be rewarded. If there are no gods, you had a worthwhile life and that's the end of it. If there is an unjust god, then you're probably screwed anyway, whatever you do.

There are many religions but there is only one God. Funny thing is that in reading abu\out many religions you will find that they all have stories that are very similar or almost identical in theme with different names of key players.

There is no one true religion. Believing that God gave his son to pay for our sins and that believing in his son will save our soul is all anyone needs.

We are too far removed from the times of the bible to know proof positive that what was handed down generation after generation has not been altered to some degree to reflect the beliefs of those writing the bibles or translating it for that matter.

How can I as a human question the worthiness of another to enter heaven? How can you?

God is nice. And He can forgive anyone if they ask for forgiveness and He deems them truly sorry for their sins. He knows what's truly in our hearts, minds and souls. He may have forgiven Gandhi for his sins. We don't know everything that Gandhi did during his entire life. We are all sinners. For all I know, Hitler could even be in Heaven. At the moment of his death, he might have come to his senses and atoned for his sins. When he died, and his soul met God, we have no idea what their conversation was. Maybe he is in purgatory and will be there for 100 yrs to purify his soul for Heaven. We can't ever know who ends up where. We will know when we die and see for ourselves.

The only way to The Father is through his son, so if you do not except Jesus, you will not make it. Even if you are a nice guy.

According to christians everyone goes to hell. Listen to any one group and they are the only ones going to heaven, but 659 other christian groups are saying their the only ones and everyone else is going to hell.

So being a nice guy is enough to get you into heaven? It is not by actions but through faith that men are saved.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Salvation has nothing to do with how good you are, it can not be earned by being good enough.

This is simply another reason why Christianity makes no sense.
