I have a BMI of 17.6... && am 14 years old. You can count all of my ribs from the front && all but two of my ribs if you look at my back. I can wrap my hand (my little finger to index finger) around my arm almost up to my elbow. I dance & do gymnastics & am just active almost all the time. Do you think I'm too skinny?

If you can count all your ribs from the front and back without stretching or anything (as in you can see them when you're just standing normally) then yes. You do need to gain some weight.

It depends on your natural body type. I know a lot of just really skinny girls. If you're working to be like that, it is probably unhealthy, but if you're just naturally like that and active, I don't think that's such a bad thing.

a lot of it really depends on how you're feeling physically. If you're not feeling fatigued, or weak, etc. then I'd just chalk it up to high metabolism, It couldn't hurt however to maybe wolf down a burger or two.
