We have to let the past go and make up for broken treaties between countries. And we have to respect other religions. I hate people who make racist remarks. Would you like it if someone was racist against your religion or ethnicity? Probably not right.

Until people, religions and governments both, learn to allow other to live as they will and stop trying to foist their personal beliefs on others, there will be no peace. The vast majority of people either just want to be left alone to live their lives or follow a leader. It is those leaders who crave power that are the true master criminal, the source of the infection.
No group, religion, government or individual has the right to tell another how to live their life so long as they are not harming anybody else. The resulting conflict of that action is the single largest source of pain and misery in the world. Look to the churches and governments as the cause of that pain and misery. And look to those who blindly follow their leaders as accomplices.

Yes. It extends beyond religion to economics and much else. But it doesn't take mass enlightenment to achieve change - only a "critical mass". Within the religions, and even more outside them, there are moves in that direction. So we must do what we can, rejecting the rabid believers of all kinds as the ridiculous paranoid maniacs they are. And co-operating with all who are not.

No, I don't agree with him. Peace is something that you bring, not what you create outside of yourself using outside collective forces. It truly starts from the inside-out.
Religion, beliefs, world systems have absolutely nothing to do with the choices you make about what you 'bring' to the collective table.
There really is power in each individual in getting this done. You have to decide that you are peace, and make the choices that align with that. Nothing outside of the 'self' will ever answer this and create the harmony that most of us want.

When religions unite, the end is near, because this will be the goal of the Antichrist.

Until there are no religions or belief in a god, there will be no peace in the world.
As long as people accept the blind faith that is God, they will never understand the interaction between humanity and existence and never be able to master it.

Beliefs, I thinks, are just fads. Science and religion both. The fads will end, but humans will stay as they are, killing one another over some other fads.

If people could live and let live it would certainly go a long way in preventing unnecessary violence.
