If he looks at you, opens his mouth, then closes it on you then yes it is intentional. Some dogs are love biters. The bite when they kiss. Some are just nasty nippy little ankle biters. Some are fear biters. Usually you can control most of them by holding closed their mouth and saying NO when they do it. But it really depends on why they do it.

I bet that your dog is biting intentionally. Why would you think that he isn't?
When dogs bite, they do so purposefully. They will air snap to warn you and intentionally miss your skin - barely. When they are through with warning you, they bite - and they strike skin. Please see a trainer to find out what is wrong. This is not normal dog behavior and must be figured out quickly. In the meantime, leave your dog alone and do not pet him. HE has shown you that you are not approaching him in the right way - so until you figure out what the problem is, do not touch him. Please warn other people of the same before you get sued.

I would guess that your dog was removed from its litter before it was at least 8 weeks of age so it didn't learn that biting hurts. When the dog nips at you, make a loud yelp and then leave it alone. It will learn soon that biting causes you to yelp and the yelp means that the fun stops. (A small tap on the nose with a firm NO! might also work but I'd advise against that due to the possibility of damage to its nose or he could grab your hand and cause you damage.)

My dashund used to nip like that when we first got her. its takes alot of patience on your part. Does he do it when you pet a particular part of him? or if you move too fast or too slow?

You could try asking your veterinarian, or talking to a dog trainer. you could maybe try using treats. move slowly so you can judge your dogs comfort level and see if he wants a treat, try and pet him after he takes it and then if he doesnt bite at you try and make the petting last a little longer and give him another treat. that way he knows you arent going to hurt him. i hope you find a way to take care of it. Just dont give up on him

something i will inform you is that in case you proceed this form and get married, it's going to be worse. the matters throughout the time of relationship explode 100x like a magnifying glass in marriage. So I do advise putting some regulations once you do argue. Set her down and set some floor regulations that save you based on the subject be counted and not on hurting one yet another. make certain if it is worth battling approximately. do no longer say issues you will sense sorry approximately. concentration on the instant and not the previous. Set issues like, one million guy or woman speaks at a time, you ought to to set a 5-minute cut back, you will possibly desire to take turns responding, on no account say on no account or continually or ever or might desire to. once you argue stay concentrated on the project. a lot of situations women in basic terms choose which you will pay attention approximately how they sense. they only choose for some help and an open ear. What i choose for to hearken to is "honey, i'm sorry you sense that way. i'm attempting my superb, yet i will attempt extra suitable next time/won't do it back/I might desire to have completed extra suitable. i'm able to extra using fact i admire/love you and that i will, supply me it sluggish". If she brings up the argument ask her what you will possibly desire to do next time to make it extra suitable. in case you do love her, then you definately might desire to do what she asks. If it is something approximately cheating nonetheless, you're on your very own.

Of course he is biting intentionally. He is aggressive and untrained. You need to seek the help of a trainer who is knowledgeable in dog behavior modification. If he bites someone, you will be held financially liable for damages and could be sued.

You can either spend a bunch of money on training for him, or when ever you go to pet him and he bites, just shout "hey, or no".

I think I understand your problem. The solution is to reprimand him (whether you choose to do so verbally or with a tap on the nose) EVERY time his teeth touch a person's skin, no matter if it's accidentally, or he was just playing, or whatever. He has to understand that under no circumstances is it ever okay to even graze a person with his teeth.
