Blood is necessary to sustain life

Date Written: 1450-1410 BC
Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.

Scientific Discovery:
During George Washington's day, the practice of blood-letting to treat various kinds of illnesses was common. In fact, George Washington died from this very treatment. In 1830 AD, Dr. Marshall Hall came out in strong opposition to this practice. However, had any of the doctors who practiced this treatment read these Bible verses, they would have known that it could have fatal consequences..

What was God to the primitive people who wrote it? If you could be transported back to biblical times with a cigarette lighter the people would drop to their knees and call you God because you could make fire come from your hands where as they had to work for 30 min. in order to produce a flame. Religion doesn't want people to make comparisons between the intellect of the biblical people with what we know today.

surely it's a lot more obvious than that. when people lose a lot of blood, they tend to die. it doesn't require divine knowledge or intellect to work that one out.
