If it wasn't too many chocolate chips then he should be fine. If it was a lot (my golden once ate a pound of chocolate chips!!) you can give him hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting. I'd call the vet though to get their recommendation. If it was just a few cookies though he really should be fine, especially if he's big.

Depends on how many he ate, how many chips were in the cookies and what kind of chips they were. He may be fine if it was a few and the chips were semisweet in the standard quantity. If he ate a whole batch, the chips were bittersweet and large chunks, he may act lethargic, sleepy or depressed.
Keep an eye on him. If he throws up blood or acts strange in any way, you might want to call the vet. Should have an after hours number to leave a message, if not, go through your phone book until you find an emergency vet and call them. They will be able to help you further. Good luck and I hope your dog comes out fine!

It depends on how big your dog is (lbs) and how many chocolate chip cookies he ate. Chocolat is poisen for dogs and if he ate a large quantity, he needs to have the cookies removed from his stomage. This is usually achieved by giving the dog a pill (inserted sometimes behind the eye) which makes the dog vomit. You will need to see your dogs Vet for this procedure or go to an emergency animal clinic.
If your dog ate just 2 or 3 of the cookies, he should be able to get them through his system without any damage to internal organs.

As long as he didn't eat a whole bag of chocolate chips or something, he's probably fine. He'll probably throw up in the near future, but if he only ate a few cookies and he's pretty big, I don't expect there to be any huge health problems.

Unless he ate several pounds, he should be fine as there is probably not that much chocolate in the cookies. Just to be safe, you can give him a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit. If that doesn't work, wait 5 minutes and then give him another teaspoon. Take him outside b/c he will vomit quite a bit but it will do the trick. As long as he just ate them, he will be fine. That is probably what a vet would recommend anyway.

How many did he eat?
How much does he weigh?
Do you know if he is allergic to chocolate?
Not knowing any of this, i would say, watch him closely and be ready to seek emergency care quickly if he starts to show signs of stress.

If he has eaten them in the past 10 minutes, a small cap full of hydrogen peroxide swallowed will make the dog vomit contents of stomache almost immediately.

I think all 5 of my dogs have eaten slight amounts of chocolate and been ok, but in large quantities it can be dangerous & some dogs are highly allergic to it. If he's big & only ate one cookie, I imagine/hope he'll be a-ok.

Our German Shepard once ate an entire bag of Hershey's miniatures. The vet was more concerned with the wrappers than the chocolate. He was about 140 pounds.

Having said that, you should contact your vet in the morning. If he starts acting strangely, vomiting, lethargic, then take him to an emergency vet.

He should be fine. I know chocolate is really bad for dogs, but I don't think it will cause harm.

My first dog ate an entire tray of brownies that I made overnight once. I woke up to diarrhea from one end of the living room to the other, but he was fine after that!

relax, a few choclate chip cookies isn't gonna hurt him at all. Yes choclate can build up to toxic levels in a dog, but ti would take 30 times that amount to cause a problem. Except that it might loosen his stool for a while!!
