I'd go to an evening clinic, because with an inner ear infection which is 99% you have---the antibiotic ear drops the doc gives you start to get rid of the pain. This pain esculates. A warm rag in a bread bag pressed over your ear for a while is soothing, but the sooner you get the drops the better.

I am not sure about the ringing in your ear - but the redness and pain are definite indications that you have an infection. If you pull on your earlobe and it hurts, you have an outer ear infection. Sometimes these go along with a middle ear infection....but with either/both you will need an antibiotic to clear it up.

Go see a doctor and get the medication you need to get well! He/she may prescribe eardrops, too.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Without looking in your ear there is no way to say if sounds like you have an ear infection or not. Just because you have pain and redness does NOT MEAN and infection. You HAVE TO GO SEE A DOC. Would I go see a doc if I was you ???? YES BECAUSE YOUR EAR HURTS.

Some symptoms fit an ear infection, others, don't.
Go see your doctor. Some things need more information than you will find here, this is one. Good Luck.

Could be.. you should get it checked by a physician asap instead of trusting a bunch of yahoos with no medical knowledge.
