Why would you attach your SSN to a prepaid card? Just wondering. Btw, you can probably settle this debt for pennies on the dollar. See Dave Ramsey's website/book/FPU class for tips on doing this.

Best wishes.

If the creditor already has a judgment, they could garnish your pay. The garnishment goes to your employer who withholds the money (usually 25%) just like they do taxes.

You should be able to get contact information if it's on your credit report. If you are able to contact them and get a settlement for the debt be sure you get the offer in writing and do not give them electronic access to your checking accounts.
