I really want to get one of my nipples pierced but i'm just really worried about the pain, how bad is it on a scale of 1-10? oh and it would be REALLY GREAT if anyone could suggest some good places in San Diego to go get it done.

Hurts...bad. The nice thing about a piercing, unlike a tattoo, is you can remove it once you grow up and stop caring what other people think.

I'm in indiana so I can't help with the where but I have both my nipples pierced and would suggest getting both because it sorta looks lopsided with just one bo any way my friend and i got it done together and she and I both didn't think it hurt at all the only part that does a little bit is when they put the clamp on you nipple but the needle not at all. the guy that did my tats (not my piercings) said that it is the most painful place for a guy to get pierced worse that the penis so I've heard so but not painful at all for a woman i hope you do it I think that you'll love mine have been done almost 7 years I and y husband think they are awesome

I have both my nips done and I LOVE them! But, if you are going to do any kind of body modification, do it because YOU want it done, not because of what others will think.
On a scale of 1 - 10, I would say about a 4 for the actual piercing and about a 6 for about 2 days or so after. After the first couple of days, as long as you take proper care of your piercing, the pain fades pretty fast. A good piercer makes a BIG difference also.

Well, from the people I know that have their nipples pierced, their opinion has been that if you are going to get it done you should do both. That way you don't have one nipple that is constantly hard. And if you do get both done, get them done at the same time (two piercers) because it hurts pretty bad, and once you do one, you probably wouldn't do the other. You have to realize that getting it pierced is actually taking a piece of skin out not just pushing it to the side. You also have to make sure that no one is touching them or putting them in their mouth until it is healed. Otherwise, they will get infected. And personally, I don't think its tacky. It can look really cute.

I have both of mine pierced. On a scale of 1-10 I'd say a 4 or 5, but I've been told I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I can tell you this - they hurt the same or less than having: nostril, eyebrows, horizontal transverse lobe.
In my opinion, I don't think they're tacky at all if you only have one per nipple and keep the jewelry simple.

Get both done if your going to do it , it doesn't hurt that bad maybe a 3 out of 10, really! It's not Trashy especially if they are for you to enjoy with your partner, and piercings are great since you can take them out if you decided that you don't want them anymore. Don't worry you can still nurse later if you so choose doesn't affect that at all. Good Luck !

Hurts like a 7 or 8 and then is super senstive for a good amount of time... not fun, so I would only do this if you really want it.

The hottest place to get a piercing is navel. But still pretty sexy on the nips. My wife had it done and from what she said, getting it done, about a 4 out of 10. After its done about a 7 or 8 out of 10 for the first couple of weeks. Best thing about chicks who get it done.... they love showin it off, and who doesnt like to see a nice flesh pillow?
