This handicap girl in Canada bought the " Win $2,000 for Life" Ticket and fortunately won.
She is a godly girl who worships the Lord daily. She could not work, and her SSI was very small. She complains everyday about wanting to be fully employed. When she collects her SSI paycheck monthly, she would spend a dollar on her favorite game, which is " Win $2,000" for life... Finally it seems as if God frees her from her worries.
Now she collects $2,000 Canadian every week for the rest of her life.

God doesn't want us to do anything in excess. Like excessively eating, drinking, gambling... God would not want her to spend a large amount of her SSI check on gambling because she would be risking it all. But $1 a month isn't excessive at all. And maybe due to her faith and trust in God, He let her win to ease her remaining years on earth. But when people gamble excessively, like when they spend money on gambling instead of feeding their family, paying their bills, giving to the poor, etc. this is a sin.
We know people in the Biblical times drank wine to celebrate. But excessive drinking, being an alcoholic, is damaging and a sin. Same with eating. God gives us food to survive and we can use it to celebrate at family get-togethers, weddings, etc. But overeating is a sin because it destroys our bodies-God's creation.

There is an absence of a single commandment or proof-text against gambling. I like to argue and believe that life itself is a gamble. We pray to God for the breath we breathe everyday when we are sick, but not when we are well. We gamble each time we don't thank the Lord for what he has given us because surely he could take it away from our ungrateful hands. The way the stock market works is you buy low sell high. The 401k and ect... have losers in it. Each time you sell eventually someone is going to lose money. To have a philosophy purely based on Gambling is a sin is Illogical in the Christian walk. Point being... Gambling is associated with risk. If risk is a sin then gambling is a sin.

The question is gambling a sin. Who can we explain the acts of God. Is what is good for the goose really good for the gander. An abusive gambler that wins everytime.and one that gambles off his or her furtune in day in passing. God does free us from our worries and often we get what we do not ask for. God wants us to be free from cares and worries, why, to have time to give him praise and be thankful. Can a troubled or tired mind have time to think to praise the Lord. Could anyone? God give us life and that is freedom. We look on the outside but the Lord knows our hearts. 2 Corinthians 9:5-15. When we worship the Lord on a daily basis and he sees the intent of the heart he gives us rest from all our troubles. This girl had all the time in the world no job yet she chose to call on God daily. She had a desire but God saw her need.

So many people become addicted to gambling or spend money gambling that they shouldn't. Gambling is often tied to other illegal activities and shady characters. It would be hard to testify to someone about this blessing. You would be saying that God blessed me by letting me win the lottery. That seems to okay everyone else gambling also.
Remember the soldiers who gambled for Jesus' clothing right before the crucifixion?

That was a sweet blessing for that young lady, but the principle here is that God does not favor things that have you putting your trust in anything other than God. A gambler puts faith and hope in chance and probability of winning something for nothing.

I believe GOD is against gambling. All that is in our possession belongs to GOD. What GOD has given to us is our responsiblilty. If we gamble our money hoping for quick monetay gain, we are not being responsible with the things GOD gave us. If we lost that money, we could not have used that money to help others.
However, since GOD has blessed her with this gain, will she be responsible with the money?
GOD bless

I don't know, but we human beings are for everything that is illegal, immoral, and/or fattening. I am happy that the young lady won the money, and I only hope that she proves to be a good steward of her blessing.
