If you accept the Bible as God's word, I don't see how you can not believe what it says. The problem is, some people try to figure out what the Bible is saying using their own intelligence rather than relying on the Spirit to teach them:
Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

When you say the Bible are you refering to only the new testament or the whole bible? Christians accept the books of the new testament as their foundation of truth and their beliefs. The old testament pre dates Jesus's time on earth. Christians find things in the old testament that makes reference to their savior and say they are living under grace of the new testament teachings. If you call yourself a christian that means you except Jesus as your savior and follow his teachings. Weather you except all the stories in the bible as factual accounts or not is incidental to you being a christian. As far as your statement that if the bible is true it has to be all true is of course not true. If through many translations or manipulation the stories were not accurate your faith and personal relationship with your savior would not be at risk or a falsehood. Dont get caught up in trying to prove the bible accurate or not. People also argue over what it means. Most teachings are parables and are interpreted differently by different people. If you want to be a christian then be christ like in your walk in life.

I know every word of the Bible is true. I am not blind. I see life for what it is, and know where the world is heading, and where I hope to be.
God is the writer of the Bible and he does not lie. (Titus 1:2) . ."upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting"
A true Christian will not only believe what the Bible says, they will live by the laws and regulations God gives us, that are stated in the Bible.
The problem with a lot of 'so called' Christians, is they want to pick and chose which of God's laws and commands they want to break.
If it doesn't fit in with the way they want to live or do things, then they think they can ignore it, and still be a Christian.
Jesus never said that was the way God would allow his servants to be. Instead he said, at (Matthew 7:21) . . .“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will."
1 John 5:3 sums it up perfectly, "For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome."

You are a Spirit, you have a Soul and you live in a Body.
Once your Spirit gets Recreated (Saved, Born-Again) you are what You Call a "Christian" (Child of GOD).
Your Soul does not get Recreated.
Your Body does not get Recreated Yet.
You can be a Child of GOD and really Believe some Strange Doctrines--that could cause you alot of Hell on this Earth, but it will not Mess Up your Spirit Again, you will NOT become LOST Again if you Believe the Wrong Stuff after you are Saved.
The only way to mess up your Spirit AFTER you get Born-Again is to Commit the Unpardonable Sin (Hebrews 6:4,5,6), if you do that, you will Lose your Salvation.
Very Few Christians do this, but is has happened.

That's a good question. I love the Lord with all my heart, but I would be a liar if I said that I wholeheartedly believed every single thing in the Bible. There are some stories that are a little harder for me to swallow. "Jesus, please help my unbelief!" But I think if you're referring to what the Bible clearly identifies as sin, and people decide to commit those sins while claiming to be Christian, they really aren't Christians.
"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world
today Is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their
lips Then walk out the door and deny him by their
lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds
unbelievable."

The Bible has changed many times, so therefore one does not know the true message of God through the Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) and the messages of man edited during the centuires to suit their philiosphies and way of life. some Christians can follow the original teachings of Jesus (pbuh) but not some teachings as they have been corrupted, some Christians might claim they just belive in Jesus's (pbuh) crucufixion & therefore claim they are Christians for believing this, some Christians might not believe in Jesus's (pbuh) crucufixion but still be Christians as the follow the teachings of Jesus(pbuh), some Christians as i mentioned do follow some teachings of the Bible but not everything as i said they have been changed, but they sill can call them Christians, or shall i say Good Christians, (who believe in the original texts of the Bible & also dont believe in the crucufixion of Jesus (pbuh) as the early Christians did not.

confident, i've got faith each and every thing that the Bible says. I could desire to factor out like others have that the Scriptures do no longer say that the earth is fairly 6,000 years previous, basically guy style.

Christian by definition means "follower of Christ"
NOWHERE is it defined as "Completely mindless follower of anything written between the covers of a book.
The Bible is a collection of stories (factual or not is debatable) written by a number of humans with their own perceptions of how life was and should or should not be lived.
IF you follow Christ, you follow his example and teachings, trying to live your life in a "Christ-like manner". It's not necessary to believe every word of The Bible to do that.

If a christian followed everything in the bible they would have to kill people that work on the sabbath and stone children who talk back to their parents.
They pick and choose. Which proves they do not get morals from the bible. They decide what they find most appealing out of the things in it and reject the ones that don't fit with modern society.
