To what extent do you hold God responsible for what happens on this planet?

Bitching to God about the hardship of life is basically crying out to him isn't it? Do we want our daddy here too kiss it and make it better?

It's as if we turned 18 years old and took on our own responsibilities in life, God left it to us. Will we mature or will we fail, God bets against us.

I'd like to prove him wrong myself and at least make a very good attempt at peace on this planet, wouldn't you?

I blame humanity and our sin. Had we not sinned, we would still be living the good life in the garden but we are what we are and we make the bad choices we do.

The Scriptures universally teach one thing. Good things dont last long on this earth. Look at how many times Israel thrived in their history obeying God Vs. how many times they were in ruin because of their disobediance?

Peace isnt necessarily a good thing. That simply means nobody is at war. If nobody is at war, that means that tyranny is reigning supreme and the people that CAN do something about it arent doing anything about it.

This planet is a disaster because WE are a disaster. Even if we did achieve something great for a time, history teaches that it comes to an end sooner or later. Jesus taught us that evil comes from the heart of man. How do you propose to cure the evil in the hearts of men? Only Jesus can do that and only if the person wants to change.

What we are forgetting/overlooking here is the fact that, even though we do not understand "why", God made satan the prince of this world (for a period of time)- man has choice,free will that is God-given. We can choose to do evil or good, hate or love,etc.

Satan can control nature but ultimately God is in control of all including satan. Why He allows him to do what he does-God doesn't check it out with us first. God is God. Bad things happen to good people (read the book of Job)-especially the final few chapters that reveal how awesome God is. By the way, He never did answer Job's questions!God doesn't have to defend himself to anyone.

I remarked to our preacher recently that God can be unfair and he replied that ""yes, life is unfair"(i.e. rich/poor/healthy/diseased,etc.)But for the redeemed by Jesus blood shed on Calvary and His resurrection victory over satan and sin, we have eternal life with Him-there again, we make the choice.Eternity with Him will make up for the few seconds we have here on earth with all our trials so be comforted.

We, the people of this planet are the ones who want no part of God. We as a whole have always placed distance and obstacles towards believing in God and or accepting any of his good graces.
