110 was a good sentence, however I dont see how you tie the war ending with this nut bag.
We take care of our own. There are sickos everywhere and everyonce in a while a couple of them will get into the US military just like they get into any other walk of life. Dont take this evil assholes actions as an excuse to knock the war effort.
And the "they think they can do what they want" line ALMOST sounded as though you were talking about us troops in general. If thats what your implying, that we are heartless rapists, then I suggest you take it back. If its not what you meant to imply, hit the "add details" button and clarify so you arent misunderstood.

This monster does not represent the American Military of millions of true, dedicated good soldiers.

He was one of a few bad apples, and if as YOU say, "They think they can get away with anything," I hope this will set the few who do, very straight!

No one got away with anything! This guy got what he deserved...

He stood only a few feet away from the 14 year old girl while she screamed during her rape by 2 other soldiers. Another soldier shot and killed her family in front of her during the rape, then shot her in the head after it was (almost) over.

I say "almost over" because this monster (who got 110 years) then raped the dead girl's body.

He is up for parole after only 10 short years, but I doubt very seriously he will ever see the light of day.

He is NOT representative of 99.9% of our fine Military people who are 100% dedicated to risking their own lives for the preservation of freedom for all individuals - young and old.

You are careless. You get on the Military section and ask questions in a way that inflames veterans and soldiers and patriotic Americans. Go to the ranting section please and ask AND ANSWER your questions there.

BILL!, You are ranting too!! I can't believe you copied and pasted your answer from another question! Calm down, maybe go smoke a pack of cigarettes. (reference blog question) I wanted to tell you anyway that you must be forgetting that the very reason we got into Iraq WAS to defend the Iraqi woman who was picking up her child's body parts because of SADAM HUSSEIN. That IS a moral thing to do. You don't strike me a someone who has ever served in the military, or even who is an American.

The war is a totally different issue than the rape and murder of a child. The war is debateable - rape and murder are not. But you're right. This man deserved a harsh sentence.

People are raped and killed on US soil everyday. Do civilians think they can get away with whatever they want? Do you attribute all of these crimes to the war also?? Just cause you have one bad apple, doesn't mean the entire batch is rotten.

No, I wish the US Army would re-instate a Practice from the ETO of Executing the guilty in the town the crime was comitted in.

One,- it shows to the village that the US isnt Saddams thugs

Two,- it shows the Troops that such actions will be dealt with in a Harsh Swift Manner

Don't put us all in the same category, scrotum face!! I sure as hell don't think I can get away with whatever I want!!! To answer your question, I think 110 years fits the crime just fine. The death sentence would have been the easy way out, in prison, the inmates are going to rip him apart for what he did, I guarantee it!!

They? I am in the Army and I don't appreciate that. You are talking about one messed up individual. Don't group the whole military like that.

Thank you.

But yes, I am glad HE got the sentence he got.

The majority of "they" has never raped a 14 year old girl, the majority of "they" is hurt that'd you'd say insulting things like that, the majority of "they" wouldn't stand for people like him.

Saying THEY is insulting to the 99.999% of the forces that serve very honorably. The individuals and small groups of military personnel who bring disgrace and dishonor to the uniform deserve the death penalty, not prison.
