I'm using Jazzing by clairol professionals. It says to dye on towel dried hair, avoiding scalp then cover with plastic cap and process with heat for 30 mts. I want to do this at home. It didn't take the first time it just all washed out. I applied and then dried for 30 mts with a dryer.Should I apply it on dry hair so it will stick better? Should I wait and hour next time? Should I use tin foil or something to hold the heat in? Need help please!

Jazzing's blue dye doesn't seem to take very well--a friend of mine had the same problem, except her hair was dark brown.
I would recommend trying a different brand (Special Effects is a good brand if you want it to be bright and long-lasting) or leaving the dye on for twice as long next time. If you're serious about it you could bleach a little first, but that would be very time-consuming, and there's no guarantee that it would help.
Good luck, I hope your hair takes the next time you try.

I've never used that brand, so my first recommendation would be to get something different (Special Effects works well; Manic Panic works, but fades very quickly). But other than that, I think you should try using foil and waiting an hour or more (keep the dryer on high heat).

Also, if your hair isn't blonde to begin with, you should probably bleach it. If you don't have much experience bleaching, go to a salon.... it's easy to mess up with bleaching, and getting it professionally done is worth the money.

Dry hair works best, and try an hour also, if you want to hold heat in just put a bag over the dyed part, try not to let alot of air it so it stays moist and hot.

You may have to bleach the hair you want to turn blue. My friend has had several different colors on her hair, dark blue, vampire red, and each time her hair dresser bleaches the hair prior to putting on the color.

Hope this helps!
