And before anyone starts on me about the: "our serving men and women just doing their duty"-spiel--killing Iraqi men, women, and children in COLD BLOOD is *not* what being part of the armed forces is all about.

It is about honor, integrity, honesty, and duty. And sadly, this has been lacking in our armed forces since we invaded Iraq in 2003.

I agree. This guy should rot at Leavenworth for the rest of his worthless life. Actually, scratch that. I think we should parachute him into al Qaida controlled parts of Iraq with no weapon and a big offensive Muhammed tatoo on his chest.

And to anyone that defends him, it's idiots like this that get other soldiers killed.

Don't judge all military personnel by the actions of a few. All the traits you mentioned have been displayed by most of us.

Dr. Green - Not everyone agrees with you that this is an unjust war. There are many Americans who feel we should be there in fact, they are there. Any American who joins our Armed Forces takes an oath to defend the constitution and follow the lawful orders of those above us. If we didn't feel we could do that, then we could have gotten out right then. We made the choice to stay.

Retired military.

If he could afford the lawyers that OJ had he would be a free man also. I don't agree with killing of innocent people at all. Why should the military have more accountability than civilians? On a side note my husband has never lost his honor, integrity, sense of duty or morals in his 16 years of service. Please do not judge over 300,000 people on the actions of the few.

The individuals and small groups of military personnel who bring disgrace and dishonor to the uniform deserve the death penalty, not prison.

You however, are an idiot. You stating that "It is about honor, integrity, honesty, and duty. And sadly, this has been lacking in our armed forces since we invaded Iraq in 2003." is stupid. Hundreds of THOUSANDS of men and women have served very honorably in Iraq, and you using this disgrace, and a few other examples to paint all of us who have served with a brush like that is insulting and ignorant. YOU ARE PATHETIC.

and how do you know it is missing? are you in the military? or are you watching the communist news network (CNN) 24 hours a day. get a life, because a few soldiers out off over 500,000 who have served over there in the past 6 years, takes things into there own hands, and breaks military regulations, why is the entire military slammed by the likes of you? I guess I can blame you for what someone at your work does on there own, even if its drunk driving, or some nut on the other side of twn kills someone, it must be your fault, your in the same town. you really are ill informed and maybe you should just go live there for a while, then you can rant and rave all you want. get a life

"honor, integrity, honesty, and duty"

You talk about things you know nothing about
I would say approx 95% of members of the military hold themselves to a high moral mindset, but people like you focus in on the 5%.
I pity you
EDIT:
I took the liberty of looking up each services core values, each value embedded into all servicemembers from the time they step off that bus till the day they die:

Army
Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless service, honor, integrity, Personal courage

Marine Corp/Navy
honor, courage, commitment

Air Force
Integrity first, service before self, excellence in all we do

Saying that our soldiers are lacking those values is bullshit. . Don't say that all troops are this,or that. Talk to a few soldiers, and see how they talk to you back. Im sure over 99% aren't going to rape and murder you.

you are so full of crap!!!! you DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!! It is obvious that you had never served in the military. I have served in the Marines and I never killed anyone in COLD BLOOD. I am sick and tired of spoiled Americans that don't appreciate the sacrifice of our men and women that serve in our military. Thank a vet for your freedom.

If your neighbor commits a murder, does that mean you live in a neighborhood of murderers? No. This is one sadistic man who has no regard for humanity and he is getting off easier than he deserves. It is no reflection on our fine proffesional fighting forces in general.
