What a sick SOB that guy is - did you know there is a group of motorcycle riders in every state that now prevent him and his group from entering cemetery grounds and disturbing the families of victims of tragedies such as this, and soldier's funerals?

He's the reason Bush made it a law against protesting at a soldier's funeral., since he had the audcaity to show up at Arlington on Memorial day and protest in front of Bush.

He's a very sick individual, as are his followers, giving decent, honest christians a bad name just by mere religious associaition.

I will pass... I know all I want about that bunch of crazies.. they are not representing The Church in any way... Thay are not of The Church... Thay do not mirror The Teachings of Jesus The Christ... They deserve to be in jail at best... I could think of other punishments for them but they would be forbidden by The Head of The Church, Jesus Christ... they will face judgment soon enough and they will not be able ot stand in the presence of God because of the guilt they will bear...

Most of 'em are related to each other anyhow. Don't know how long their "church" will be around once the good reverend kicks the bucket. He's pissed that the cops didn't investigate a prank some college kids did to his family years ago and simply slipped off his rocker.

I don't think Fred Phelps ever recovered from the dark realization that his lifelong admiration for Rock Hudson was based on other aspects of the man than he consciously believed.

Non-admirers of Phelps and co might appreciate the song you'll find here:

Wow, is that disgusting or what!

I am not Christian but not anti-Christian. I don't think most Christians believe stuff like this. But it just goes to show you that we should examine our faiths rather than just believing what we are told we are supposed to believe.

I tend to think that most of the Westboro members are basically good, decent people. If someone fell in the pool and couldn't swim they'd jump in and risk their own life to pull the person out whether they were gay or not. My guess is that they're proud of their minister because he gets attention and money from hateful, spiteful and misguided people all over the country, but they don't realize how it makes them look to everyone else on the 10:00 news.

They have always been putrid excuses for human beings.

Their views aren't all that unique though; their views are in fact backed up Biblically---they just are very vociferous, zealous and prefer Old Testament hatefulness. Sorry, I know that will offend many Christians, but it is true, I studied them.

At any rate, they really are awful people in my opinion. Them and anyone who thinks like them. They turn every tragedy into a gay bashing hellfire and brimstone festival. Just awful.

Fred Phelps is the Paris Hilton of the religious world. Isn't it odd that the religious world even has such a figure?

His opinion is not that surprising, since that's always his opinion.

Your right, I'm feeling the need to vomit....

I don't think they really deserve any of the attention they get. Clearly they are willing to preach any kind of perverted doctrine simply to get attention.

There really is something completely vomit-worthy about these people... and that is saying a lot. I am usually pretty tolerant of people's religious opinions. These people are completely sick (and sickening).

My advice: Don't give them another thought. It's not worth polluting yourself with their perspective.

This isn't the first time I've read about these nutcases. I wonder if this "church" even has any members, or is it just some wacko self proclaimed "minister" and a couple of his Friends.
