Heard on Radio just yesterday that one should take their weight and divide it by 1/2 - then you are to drink one ounce for every pound of the half.... ex. if you are 200 pounds, divide by half, this leaves 100 - so you should drink 100 ounces of water (especially in the heat) then drink accordingly. For instance - a regular bottled water has 16.9 ounces of water in it - for ease of answering your question, let's round the number up to 20 ounces, therefore you drink 5 bottles of water. Have always heard drink 8 glasses of water - do not know how many ounces is in a glass, they vary. Good Luck....

The common recommendation is 8, 8 ounce glasses a day, or 64 ounces. They say that that can come from other liquids as well, but it's healthiest to stick with water if you can.

They say 8 glasses, and a serving consists of 8 ounces. That means 64 ounces, or 2 quarts.

Until last year, it was generally accepted a person should drink 8/8oz. glasses of water per day. This equals 64 oz. or 1/2 gallon.

Due to the fact we have water/moisture with much of the food we eat, I heard its reduced to 32 oz. per day or 1 quart. I guess “the jury is still out” on the “new” amount.

Thank you for asking your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading a sensible answer - my answer.

TYVM!

I wish you well!

I have always been told that a minimum of 8 8oz glasses is a good rule of thumb. I try to get in 12 myself. Not into water? Try adding a slice of lemon or lime to it. Refreshing and very good for you!
