The Bible actually tells us...whoever perseveres until the end will be saved. Sorry, but there is no such thing as "Once Saved, Aways Saved" We must live our faith as Christ taught, each and every day. Persevere to the end, everyday.

We won't actually know we're "saved" until we walk through the gate into Heaven. And if we do make it, it will be by God's grace only.

It is Catholic to believe that God is infinitely merciful. Any true Christian believes the same. Therefore, beyond any reason, we should think that the worst sinner can repent, and by God's infinite knowledge, He will perceive a soul is not worthy of damnation. Catholics further believe in purgatory, a place in which a less-than-heaven worthy person will go to expiate any sin and to pay any other debt he might have for wrong doings. Living persons may offer intentions to pay for his release. All these beliefs are toward the dead person going to heaven, immediately or eventually.

A Christian who thinks a serial killer will go to hell is being humanly impulsive, not non-Christian. The Christian belief focuses on the fact that God is more merciful than vengeful. All Christians would probably admit that they should believe that everyone is within being saved. However, they would also say that if a person chose not to be saved, he would go to hell. Even in purgatory, a soul has the power to chose to be saved or damned.

Yes and contradictory its also christian to believe that if your not saved you will still be given a chance in heaven. By the way hell comes from the Old Norse religions Hel which was the place where almost everyone who died would go, especially all those who died old or of natural causes or anything besides fighting in combat. Hades was refered to in the bible but few realise that in the center of hades is a paradise which was the heaven for the ancient greeks but in order to get there you must go through the hellish parts of the underworld first and if you were a good person your time there would be short, if you were corrupted you would be left on one of the rivers for eternity.

Ignition,

I am too tired to go into a lot of detail about this, but I will tell you where to look to find the truth. Study everything you can, about the "Council of Nicea", in 325 A.D. This is where "Christianity" came into existence. Most of the established doctrines of the Christian church, were created there and then. The Gospel of the Kingdom, which is what Jesus taught, does not include Hell. It was added by the Roman Emperor Constantine, to make it more attractive to pagan Romans. He also added the blood sacrifice of Jesus, to take away our sins, also something Jesus never taught. If you choose to live in open rebellion against the Will of God, and make yourself the god of your life, then there is a real possibility, that your life will not be preserved and renewed. Really, can you blame Him? Who wants to live forever in a Universe tainted with sinners, and all the pain they cause? He is just looking out for the best interests of all. If you will seek out His will, which is Love, and listen to His leading in your life, Hell is the last thing you will ever have to worry about. I promise. Peace be with you..............

No!!

It originated in the ancient Egyptian belief system.

When going to the kingdom of Osiris *(heaven) ..
Your heart is weighed on the scales of justice, against the feather of truth.

If your heart weighed heavier, because of sin, you were not allowed into heaven.

You were then cast into the region of the lost souls *(hell).
This is also, were the original devil/Satan figure, Set or Seth resided!!

Judaic, christian and islamic, have carried this belief on, but will not admit to its origins!!

Do not be Afraid, Billions have gone ahead of you into Hell.
Eccl. 9:5, 10: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol,* the place to which you are going.” (If they are conscious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain.) (*“Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB; “the grave,” KJ, Kx; “hell,” Dy; “the world of the dead,” TEV.)

If you aren't saved, you are damned. So yes, I believe that the souls that believe and have faith in Jesus Christ, will be saved and eventually will live eternally in Heaven. (I'm Catholic so I believe in Purgatory) The souls that don't believe and have faith that God exists and Jesus is the only begotten Son, will be punished to eternal life in hell.

THE WORDS OF JESUS:
(Mat 13:41 KJV) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

(Mat 13:42 KJV) And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

(Mat 13:43 KJV) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Jesus died on the Cross to provide THE ONLY WAY to salvation and arose from the dead to Justify all those that believe in His atonement.

Not necessarily, you may to purgatory to cleanse your sins. Then you may be sent to hell or to heaven. This is still a matter of discussion among theologists, though.

I have a difficult time believing that God would torture His creation forever in a place such as I have heard hell described.
I do believe that God came to us in human form to teach us how to love and serve Him, and that the 'wages of sin are death.'
