I'm just curious as to other people's opinions. Maybe some opposition... My idea of Christianity is that Jesus was a great humanitarian, who loved nature but had no divine origins. He exhibited great charity toward others. I also think the concept of the devil was created to blame for certain people's faults.
I believe we have souls that govern themselves. I believe we have bodies that allow our souls to grow, mature and differentiate between emotions.

Christianity is highly overrated.
They are no better off than anyone else, die at the same rate as everyone else, are no nicer, smarter, richer, poorer,...and so on.

You have very interesting views, and I'm not going to say you're right or wrong. But I will say you have the wrong idea of Christianity.
Christians are defined by the belief in the divinity of the messiah. If you believe He is not divine, then you are not Christian.
As for the devil, I believe he is very real. Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 1:12-13, and Luke 4:1-13 all describe Jesus being tempted by an actual entity, not a concept.

I'm not trying to offend you (or anybody), but I would suggest you speak to a priest or minister and get a better idea of what beliefs a Christian has. You might also consider reading the Nicene Creed, the standard by which Christian beliefs are held. You can find the text at http://www.creeds.net/ancient/nicene.htm

Good luck on your spiritual path.

Edit to paganhonor: There are historical accounts of Jesus outside of the Bible. Most notably from Josephus (c. 37-100 AD), a jewish historian and a roman citizen.

Well I dont know if the jesus that the faith is based on even existed, outside of religious sources there is no historical source. If he did live then he was probably a guy who had a message and tried to help people live responsible lives and remind them of their peoples beliefs. I think the concept of the devil is distorted because of christianity and was really developed into a full blown evil punishment concept in order to keep others in their faith without opposition. Helping others is a common human concept which is why each religion has it as a core concept. I think that the divines gave us our souls somehow and that our souls go through many bodies growing and developing and if people listened to their souls more they would find the path for them. I also think that sin was another concept made up to keep people in line, like laws except you wouldnt find out your punishment for sin until you died and couldnt change what happens so its kind of a way to make people do what you want since its hard to challenge it. The religion of christianity itself is not a religion i am pleased with, the concepts it preaches are hard to follow and borders monotheism and polytheism. Most people think its not monotheistic because of God, Christ, and Holy spirit each being seperate and the same, so yea its hard to follow, it also has to many restraints on how a person should live their lives, it constantly tells people what not to do instead of what would be the best thing to do. I got many other issues with the faith but it would take up a ton of room.

I think that Christianity is the only religion that doesn't hold the believer accountable to make themselves worthy - it is a free gift from God. Unfortunately, I think there are alot of Christians who misrepresent Jesus terribly, and unfortunately, THAT turns alot of people off. The Jesus of the Bible was humble, and NEVER ONCE argued about what people should believe, or tried to badger them into thinking a certain way. The Bible is there for us to seek Him out, or not.

I believe in God, and I know He exists.
God did give us free will, and we can decide to ignore Him and pretend He doesn't exist. But even if you think this, that doesn't stop Him from existing. He is the uncreated one, who created the universe, and who lives from everlasting.
Sadly, the devil (Lucifer), whom God created as the most beautiful of angels, turned against his Creator, and having some followers- the fallen angels (demons), a war broke out in heaven. The devil and his demons against the Lord and His angels. The devil lost, and now he tries to bring us humans to himself, away from God, by whispering things to us- temptations. If you follow the thought, and the temptation, it becomes a sin. And you start getting farther from God. The devil is evil, and evil is the absence of God.
Jesus is the Son of God. He did become man, although never once did He stop being God. If you ever read the Bible, you can tell His words are different than any elsewhere. They are living. And His teachings, they seem so simple if you just read them- but no, they are rich in meaning.
And you, yourself, are proof that God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) exists. He created you- you would not exist without Him.
What I think of Christianity- it is true.
God Bless.

Jesus Christ is the son of God, the divine creator of the universe and all that is within. Jesus was born to a virgin so that there would be no question as to whether or not He is the son of God. Jesus, although pure, perfect, and faultless practiced humility through acts such as foot washing, befriending the less fortunate, and taking time with children when parents said, "This is the son of God, he doesn't have time for you!!" Jesus replied saying , "let the children come to me!" We are all sinners we cannot earn our way into heaven by doing anything, no matter how good. The reason some go to Heaven is because a sacrifice was made and a price was paid, that we couldn't pay. Jesus Christ paid your way into heaven for you. no works of our own, no matter how good could ever pay our way into heaven. WE don't have to worry abou being good so we'll get into heaven. It's free for us. Now, as far as the definition of "christian" is concerned.
Christian means Christ-like we could never be as pure as Jesus, of course, but what Christ-like means is that we should be forgiving, as Christ forgave us, Loving as Christ loved us, and we should not be proud, but humble, not holding ourselves and our own righteousness in high regard.
Not thinking wer'e to good to serve others. were not! so in conclusion, I don't have all the answers, ut I hope that you found this information helpful. Good luck in life and God bless.

I am a Christian, and I believe that Jesus is God's only Son. I believe the whole idea of His dying for my sins.
I believe I am going to Heaven when I die because of His having done this.

I've read that Christianity is a type of Plato-ism. I think Gnostics were sincere but others with political and/or power agendas have twisted and manipulated it over time.
