I have the version covered by Ozcan Deniz, and I already listened a live version performed by Melis Sôkmen...

But I don't remember who exactly sang it for the first time...It was a man, with a common voice, but the melody and the lyrics were absolutely fantastic, full of poetry and magic...

Of course I remember, it is one of those songs that a person can not forget after once heard.

It is sung by Orhan Atasoy and the music is composed by Ercüment Vural.

The words touches a special place in everybodies soul- well, at least mine-

bir an için çıksam hayatımdan
yanık tenli omuzunda

kurtulsam geçmişten, uzaklardan
şu anda, yanında

deniz rüzgara karışmış güneşte
martılar uçardı o yeşil gözlerde

sıcak kumlu o evlerde
dalga sesleri vardı gülüşlerde...

sen geçerken sahilden sessizce
gemiler kalkar yüreğimden gizlice

...and this is a Sunday surprise for you. Check out :

Orhan Atasoy.

I was just watching the video clip the other day. It's a beautiful song and absolutely better than Teoman version.

I listened it first fm Orhan Atasoy which it think is the best. But Teoman cover was not bad either.
