i know he wents to help when hes drunk he hits us what should i do

in most cases i would say love and sopport but in this case call the police you dad wont be locked up forever but he will get help and one day i bet your mom and dad will thank you also pray

I'm really sorry you have to deal with that. I know exactly what thats like and it was only a relief for me to get away from that. There is only so much you can do. If he chooses not to go to meetings, rehab, or therapy you can't force him. You can only be there with the rest of your family to help keep him on track if he does want to go and you have to help him through this because its not easy to go through alone. You have to understand though that there is no helping some people with their problems because without them wanting to change they won't. I really hope that things get better for you and your family and I hope your dad wants to get help. Good luck.

i think the next time he hits you you should call the police and i just wanted to sa that you canlead a horse to water but you cant make him drink it... my dad is also aa alcoholic and it hurts to see him like that but i just had to accept it but he has never hit me or my sister so i think the next time he hit you ou should talk to some one in your school it you are still in school but other wise call the police!

Call Alcoholics Anonymous and ask them to direct you to the nearest Ala-non meeting. They are free and they can help you better than anyone else.

my dads a acholic.
what i did was i prayed every
day then i stoped believing but
i foundout i guess it takes awhile
a year passed finally my dad abandons me for a weeks and comes bac alost gets fired and then he finally goes to rehab.
he still going now.
he said hes VERY happy
its day by day

your dad needs to go into rehab for a while so they can help him deal with his drink problems

I'm sorry, but he has to want to do it himself. You can go to AA, ALANON, something like that. Go get some support so you can handle the symptoms that come with the disease. Good luck to you and your family.

all u have to do is Pray to God. he will do ANYTHING only if u pray. trust me it works. and its what i do when i got problems like that. good luck. ill pray for u guys too
