Windows makes machines slow, prone to viruses and attacks, forces you to update all the time.

If in the past, with Windows 2000, NT, 98, 95 you got the "Blue Screen Of Death", in XP you get the "Not Responding" message of death a lot, plus when you try to close the "Not Responding" windows, it does not want to close, when an annoying dialog box pops up asking if you want to close and you click yes, it still does not close.

When you go at task manager to kill the process, a new icon appears in the system tray, showing that a new process is trying to kill the "Not Responding" process, however this does not work.

Sometimes, you have to reboot the computer just to get rid of a "Not Responding" program.

I HATE, HATE HATE Microsoft, because their products is just KRAP and BULLSCHIT !!!!

Should I migrate to LINUX and say goodbye to MICROSHIT ???

I want an OS that WORKS, DANMN IT !!!

Depends on what you are trying to do.

For the most part Win is stable since 98SE, XP seldom freezes and Vista seems as stable. Our laptops run for weeks without being restarted or seldom have any problems.

The only reason we restart them is for updates, which I agree is a total pain in the butt.

With the new intel macs, maybe it's time for you to switch. From your complaints, I think that would be the best solution.

I bear in mind lower back in 2001 while domicile windows XP got here out. i became between the 1st to get an improve replica of it for my computing gadget (i offered my improve replica interior a week and could not wait to get it on my computing gadget). Vista, on the different hand, i don't choose something to do with. My how circumstances have replaced. For me, that's not lots a controversy of only domicile windows, that's Microsoft that I actual have began having problems with. From telling us how we are able to and may be able to not use their utility (i.e., Vista domicile can't be used with digital machines, as only between the various, many examples), to installation spyware on our computers (the validation checks often deliver information approximately you and your domicile windows computing gadget lower back to Microsoft), to being overpriced (complete version, not the improve, of Apple's OSX is $one hundred thirty, Linux is a unfastened get carry of... domicile windows Vista? $2 hundred-$4 hundred for the entire version), to taking unfastened and open standards and changing them so they only artwork with MS products (HTML, Java, and so on.), to not helping different document formats different than their own (attempt to shop a word document into WordPerfect format and notice what occurs), to embedding products that don't actual could desire to be embedded (like making internet Explorer to be an integrated area of the working device), and final yet not least, Microsoft is a convicted monopoly in the U.S. and the E.U., alongside with various different countries. it is not often an admirable trait. I heard somebody say that there is not something incorrect with turning out to be a monopoly, that's once you attempt to maintain that monopoly that the priority starts off, and Microsoft has finished each and every thing of their significant ability to maintain their monopoly. one in all my New 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's resolutions is to thoroughly do away with all Microsoft products from my domicile computing gadget, and that i see no clarification why I won't (or shouldn't) have the flexibility to maintain that one.
