O.K. I visited this question about home bible studies and there are quite a few of exe's that answered against it. Following what I found on ex-JW's in R&S and hearing also from the JW's member's; you guys went astray. Some of you committed sins that you could not face up to the elder's and the other's just wanted to have human flesh fun. I am saying because of your worldly sin, it is not right to condemn the faithful and then betray a church you once was faithful too. Does that fall under the scripture of
Matthew 7: 3-5 (3) "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? (4) How can you say to your brother, "Let me take the speck out of your eye, when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? (5) You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
I don't like to offend you exe's but it was you that sinned after taking church vows.

I apologize to all. I offended most of you here and that's because I am still ignorant in the ways of God. Arihaz I didn't quite think straight when posting my question, its just that ex-JW's do a lot of bashing here in R&S and I don't see the JW members bashing the exes. i just felt the need to have defended them and as I can see I didn't do the right way. Well, everybody learns through mistakes right. I didn't say I am not a JW but if I misled you to believe so I didn't do it knowingly. In the Catholic church that's what people do take vows to be true and faithful. Being baptized that's what it means right, a person taking a vow.
The way I see it the person that is doing the bashing is the one that is judging. That is why Jesus used the example of plank (large) and speck (small). If I am saying bad things about you than Jesus see's the "plank" in me where he see's a "speck" in you. It all depends on who is causing it. I don't think I'm judging anyone, Jesus said that.

Silence Lamb, I am sorry I don't comprehend what you are telling me about (Christ, tendon) saying I said it and not you. Christ Jesus, Jesus Christ, what part is it that is wrong? A cult you say. WHAT IS A CULT? I looked up that word in the dictionary and tell me what you think after reading this.
Cult 1. a particular system of religious worship , esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies.
That is the one and main definition. Please forgive me because I am not as intelligent as you all when it comes to the Bible or religion and I confess that right here and now. A group that does rites and ceremonies is that not like the witches or other groups similar to that? What is wrong for a person that loves God so much and wants to bring that love in another ones life? Isn't that what Jesus came to earth for? I will answer my own question; that is EXACTLY what Jesus came to earth for. You criticize a person that wants to save another and you are CRITICIZING Jesus! Have mercy!

Silence Lamb, You say truth as in, "The truth will set you free." Well, I see it as I am not fully free (spiritually) and you know what; neither is you. Being connected with God himself but the grips of hatred got a hold of you. Shame on your father for his evil acts; but that was your father and not the whole congregation. Do not put fault on another innocent person, definitely not God approval. We should not say anymore about this because as Jesus said in Matthew 15:14 Leave them, they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into the pit.
When I quote a scripture no one should say I am judging; I am just writing it as what Jesus says. You want truth to what I say, there's the Book, chapter, scripture from the NIV. I write the scriptures as to REMIND people what Jesus says. I'm not saying it; it's Jesus words NOT mine.

I'm not disfellowshiped.
Nor am I Baptized, yet.
It's not so much what he/she did or didn't do; per say.
It's more of the person, Not repenting!
Being sorry for whatever sin was committed.
I have sinned greatly, against my God, Jehovah.
And against myself & my beliefs.
And He doesn't leave my side;
I would say it's bc I am sorry for what I have done.
And I do Not wish to continue, on this path.

Yes, I know a woman who has been shunned by her JW brother for the last 30 years( they live in the same small town) because she became a Catholic Trinitarian Christian, was baptized and confirmed as such ( in the Name of God the Trinity) and married a Catholic and raised her daughter as a Catholic In the States , I do not think that those who are shunned by the JWs , Amish or other 'sects' can file a successful class action suit because shunning would be considered a right of any religious group to exact standards for membership with cutting off completely an excommunicated or disfellowshiped from any ( even social or familial) contact as part of the demand for continued membership in the group with good standing considered by the governors of the group

I think you make a mistake to generalize either JW's or ex-JW's.
Some ex-JW's bash JW's, but some don't. Some merely try to point out the error of JW thinking in an effort to help them.
Some JW's bash some of the ex-JW's, but not all do.
As a rule, it is correct to say that 'exes" sinned after taking church vows. But you should realize that a JW can be disfellowshipped for reasons that aren't entirely fair. For example, in years past a person could smoke cigarettes and be a JW. A few decades ago, the rules changed and those people who had been smoking when they became JW's suddenly found themselves disfellowshipped if they weren't able to break the habit.
Also, sometimes JW teachings are incorrect and a person who values "truth" may not be able to accept some new Watchtower teaching, which could also result in his being disfellowshipped. Or perhaps after a more careful study of the Bible, he feels that a certain teaching of the WT is not correct. Should such a person lyingly pretend to continue to believe something he feels is wrong? If he doesn't, he could find himself disfellowshipped, for no other reason than being truthful that he doesn't believe something that is taught at present by the Watchtower Society. Up until about 12 years ago, if a JW voiced a belief that the generation living in 1914 would not necessarily still be living at the time of Armageddon, that person would likely be disfellowshipped or at least, viewed as a person with 'apostate' viewpoints. Now one could say that without fear of being ostracized, because the WT itself has come around to that point of view. But that wouldn't help someone who realized that BEFORE the WT realized it.
You should realize that not all ex-JWs are exes because they want to sin or have fun. Some are sincere lovers of truth and have become "exes" because they don't want to be hypocrites by supporting doctrines and viewpoints which they honestly feel are in error.

Some Jehovah's Witnesses become inactive because they feel unable to continue preaching or certain other Christian obligations for a few months or even years. These are not counted in any JW statistics, but they are considered "brothers" and "sisters" by active Witnesses. Their standing is entirely different from those who are disfellowshipped or disassociated.
Jehovah's Witnesses practice the Scriptural practice of disfellowshipping for unrepentance of such serious sins as fornication, drug abuse, stealing, and apostasy. Baptized Witnesses who join the military or publicly engage in worship with another religion are considered to have disassociated themselves from Jehovah's Witnesses.
Contrary to the misinformation of anti-Witnesses, it is quite possible to become inactive in the JW religion without becoming disfellowshipped. As long as one's lifestyle does not bring reproach upon the congregation, and as long as one does not advocate one's disagreements with the religion, the congregation has no interest in "investigating", exposing, and disfellowshipping an inactive former Jehovah's Witness.
For those who are disfellowshipped or disassociated, a primary goal is to shock the person into recognizing the serious of their wrong so that they rejoin the congregation in pure worship. Since the primary bonds that are broken involve friendship and spiritual fellowship, it is well understood that family bonds remain intact. Parents, siblings, and grown children of disfellowshipped and disassociated ones sometimes choose to limit what they may feel is discouraging or "bad association" but that is a personal decision and is not required by their religion.
Former Witnesses who are disfellowshipped or disassociated are typically treated in accord with the Scriptural pattern explained in these Scriptures:
(1 Corinthians 5:11-13) Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. ...Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.
(Titus 3:10) As for a man that promotes a sect, reject him after a first and a second admonition
(Romans 16:17) Now I exhort you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.
(2 Thessalonians 3:6) Now we are giving you orders, brothers, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the tradition you received from us.
(2 Thessalonians 3:14) But if anyone is not obedient to our word through this letter, keep this one marked, stop associating with him, that he may become ashamed.
(2 John 10) If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him.
(Matthew 18:17) If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations
Becoming baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. At a minimum, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness required hard work and determination at the time.

True way to follow Christ? Every time I ask to the people who claim that follow Christ and didn´t preach the purpose of God´s kingdom in the earth, after Armageddon they don´t have the minor idea to HMMM the bible you read now didn´t have the verses that explsin how the 1000 years kingdom will transform the earth in a paradise? so according to your comment we added about 200 verses of the bible to "invent" the paradise in earth after Armageddon, please if your are going to say a lie at least don´t insult the intelligence of people.
Silenced Lamb your spiritual obligation is to preach God´s kingdom according to Jesus and I have never see you doing that only saying lies.
to the people like Esmeralda JWS give bible study for several months or years before someone get baptized we dont use "jump to the front and become Christian technique" is a serious decision if you discorever after years of bible study that we were false, how do we know that now you are also deluded now? if happens once with JWS, how do we know that is not the same now?
Shalei dont waste your energies trying to convince the people who reject the true ,
Daniel 12:10 "Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and NO WICKED ONES AT ALL WILL UNDERSTAND; but the ones having insight will understand.

I consider myself disfellowship! I don't know if I am yet! I could also be inactive because I have not been back to the kingdom hall for years!
I am thinking about going back but I want to really change when I go back! Once you gain knowledge and feel that you fail Jehovah after knowing him, you feel guilty and back off!
I have enough knowledge and I am hoping to go back soon! Jehovah Witness are very supportive! They have told me a lot of times that I am human and people make mistakes, but I continuo to stay where I am! It is even hard to pray! I was very happy being a Jehovah Witness!
No way do they judge you but I like the fact that they correct and protect each other!
That is love!!!!!!!!!!!

I was disfellowshipped on hearsay--NO PROOF--and I was not present to deliver a defense in my behalf.
My own father accused me of engaging in pre-marital relations with my fiance (at the age of 18) and swore that he would get me disfellowshipped. I told him that I was not doing what he accused me of, but he blew me in anyway, because he was angry about me leaving home and not wanting to attend the meetings. .
I didn't feel an obligation to reach out to the elders to explain my side because I felt it was only heresay, so it was no big deal. The elders did not come by for a “shepherding call” nor did they come by to ask me about the matter. They disfellowshipped me in my absence and completely without the opportunity to present a defense on my behalf. What court of law or other type of judiciary committee does such a thing?
Even if it HAD been true, it is a completely bogus reason 22 years later, having been legally married to someone else entirely, in the interim. So, even if I did not turn up all of the doctrinal inconsistencies since then, that would cause me to never want to return, and even if it had been true then, why would I repent now for something that happened well over half of my life time ago?
Why should I still be considered an outcast for something so long ago, that has nothing to do with my life any longer? Even parolees eventually get off parole, don't they?

If you are one of Jehovah's Witnesses and you want to live like the world, then your not going to last long in it. One of 2 reasons. You can't stand to live by what the Bible says, or if you are blazenly bold about it and it is found out, you will be made to leave. Its like your relieved anyway because you can't live by the Bible and do what you want to do. it just can't be done. Its not the organizations fault that you want to get out, you are supposed to follow Jesus example, and if you don't then, why are you complaining about being ousted? Does that make sense? NO.

Are you sure you are a Jehovah's Witness? Because they don't take church vows. They don't have churches. They call them kingdom halls.
Also, Don't judge people. Even an ex-JW cannot be judge by humans. Only God judges.
EDIT:
Why Im I getting hands down?
I thought Jehovah's Witnesses only vow to Jehovah God not any human made organisation or church.
Also I thought the bible says to not judge?
EDIT
"Quality-No-Fear" You say that people are wicked? but only God sees the heart. How can you call someone wicked? With this kind of judgement you only cause people to get angry.
EDIT:
You know, just because you are a Jehovah's Witness does not mean you are saved. The bible states if you are standing be careful not to fall. You call the world wicked, but Im sure you go to the movies and watch films about sex, violence and war. Don't say you don't I know plenty of JW's that do. You listen to worldy music, you watch worldy television and eat junk food that you know is contaminating your body.
I am not talking bad about JW's but some think they have a God given right to judge. I know that JW's teach and understand the bible the best. But many in that organisation are not acting right.
Anyway, whatever.
EDIT:
I can't believe how many hands down I got.

Don't ask questions like this on R&S
The trouble with R&S is you don't know who you are talking too. Some people will be JWs , some are pretending to be and some are bitter and satan is useing them to poision your mind. If you need to know about them ask a JW for advice or any at their meetings.
AS a JW you will understand about disfellowshiped ones and how it may sound cruel but it is for there benifit as well as the congregion
I am a disfellowshiped JW for over 25 years and I want to give you advice so as not to be decived by people who have a vendetta because they where not faithful enough to follow gods word

Questioner, I know you mean well, but the Elders should tell you that you don't communicate with the disfellowshipped or apostates.
All you will get is answers like the two above me. They are angry, lost, don't want to give up worldly pleasures, rebellious and wicked. When you're studying to become a witness or you are already one, Witnesses do not communicate with these ones because they know what needs to be done to bring their lives back in harmony with Godly standards. Right now they are not right and very weak in spirit and in the head, so it is possibly they could mislead even the one who is walking firmly with Jehovah God, you know?
They must clean up what is dirty and make themselves worthy of Jehovah's clean organization again. They must do this, sweetie, not you.
Trust..
