Truthfully..because it is yummy..

I do not however buy anything that is animal tested.. I was a vegetarian for a long time because I thought it was wrong..I still do, but seriously I was a horrible vegetarian I craved meat for years..so then I started eating chicken again..and from there it all went down hill..I do feel guilty..no veal, can't eat lamb or rabbit or anything that I know is just brutally killed..or is really cute.

Well I was a Vegetarian for a few years, but then I got depressed because of thinking about all the poor animals getting eaten. So I eat meat again and am not depressed anymore

Your question implies that we shouldn't eat meat.
I am an omnivore - I eat meat and vegetables to survive. That's part of my make-up as a human animal.
I wouldn't say I have 'so little thought' for the animal, it's just a natural thing for me to eat meat.

Because unless you are prone to hunting or visiting slaughterhouses (or farms)...what appears in the store does not resemble the animal.

As Alan Watts remarks, what you get in the store is steak...might be like a banana...it has no connection with a cow.

I have hunted...and seen my meal killed...I am quite aware of the animals I am eating.

Why do people who eat vegetarian food have so little thought for the millions of rodents who are brutally slaughtered by the tractors that harvest it? Why do people who use bug spray have so little thought for all the bugs they're killing? Why do people who use prescription drugs, glue, chalk, and many other items have so little thought for the animals that were kept in captivity to harvest these materials from?

It's all relative. Meat is delicious. You lose.

In that case I guess people should only eat plants. But then do you think about how that plant was so brutally killed? I guess that gets rid of plants too! So you starve. People need to eat meat for protein.

The animal they are eating was bred and raised for that purpose. I won't take much comfort in sparing the cow's feelings while I'm dying for lack of protein. Get over yourself.

There is lots of thought put in most of the time. for example, is the price right at the store, am I going to barbecue or broil, salt or sauce. Most important, thank the Lord for it before eating it.

Such a generalisation. I eat meat out of necessity not because I like it. When I do eat it, I give thanks to the beast that died to help me, and others, live a healthier life.
