Not a very good idea for the non-Christian kids !!
It has been my experience that either the Christian kids do not stand up for what they know is right or they are the ones who lead the non-Christian kids into trouble, generally.
How unfortunate !! Especially since I am a Christian.

Definitely! Being Christian has no bearing on whether or not someone can be nice and decent. I hope that my children can learn from a variety of people that there is goodness in everyone!
I would never keep my children from playing with kids whose families aren't Christian. Now if they're getting high and shooting animals for fun, that's where I draw the line.

It doesn't matter if the friend is christian or not as long as the friend would respect my children, my wife, and I, I'd probably be fine. But if I felt that the friend wasn't going to be a good friend and be a bad influence on my kids then I wouldn't let my kid hang out with them.

Mine are not old enough. But during the school year, my eldest son would gravitate to the kids from unbelieving families and get taken advantage of. We would use that as a platform to explain what we believe from the bible.
Later I wouldn't mind if my kids were Christians or strongly rooted in the faith. Of course if the other kids was a trouble maker or foul mouthed or whatever i would hope that my son would rightly judge the relationship.

Well yes and no. Yes because I dont tell my 16 year old who to hang out with. And no because my son is a comitted Christian and he picks only Christians to hang out with. I suppose that if he started hanging with gang bangers, dopers and etc. I would take him to task about it. The proverb of the preacher is true... Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 God bless ...Cap'nArlo

Sure, I do. Maybe some of the other kids good points will rub off on my kids.
Funny thing about kids - for the most part they don't pick their own religion. Usually, they are whatever we are, for as long as they are in our house. So really in the end do you know what religlion any kid really is? This we know from Matthew 19:14
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
As such it becomes clear what our attitude towards children should be, especially if we are representing Christ.

Matthew 6:18-20
Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: "God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."
Why shouldn't Christians let their kids hang out with non-Christians? By sheltering ourselves, we hoard the gospel.

My dad is athiest, and I'm Christian, but my dad is cool with whoever I hang out with. He just thinks it's important that I believe in SOMETHING regardless of what it is.
If I ever have kids, I'd want them to do the same thing. I'd want them to pick their own religion and pick their own friends. I'd want them to see past religion and see how their friends can help them grow spiritually.
It doesn't matter what you believe in, it's just important to believe in something and stick with it.

Sometimes yes, I don't have a interview with the parents and kids before I let my kids play with them. If the child misbehaves, especially disrespects me when I tell them not to do something, and causes my kids to misbehave. Then I won't let my kids play with those kids no more.

of course! Just because they dont believe in god doesnt mean they are not the same as us Christians. I dont think it matters what religion they are to hang out and have fun, but if they start trying to change the childs beliefs then we have a problem.
