God is homophobic?

being a homosexual is a sin. so then God isnt really a good character, if He doesnt likes when two people of the same gender are in love. and yes I read the Bible. there is a big problem in the future called overpopulation. wouldnt be great to have gays all around us to control population growth? cause man and man cant get pregnant. or look how many children are waiting for adoption and they need new parents, wouldnt be great that gay people would take care of that problem? cause two men cant get pregnant, so they can adopt a child or two. or two women would adopt.

two people of the same gender wont harm anyone, if they are in love.

but soldiers keep killing in those stupid wars and they are expecting to be in Heaven.

Why do so many people like to accuse God and/or Christians of homophobia? Do you really know what that means?

Homophobia:
• "unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality"
• "Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men"

God doesn't do any of that; Christians don't either. There is a difference between hating someone vs. not approving of their behavior. I don't condone homosexuality any more than I would condone a married person having an affair. Homosexuality and adultery are both sins according to the bible. (I have a very good friend who had an affair while she was married. I sure don't hate her; she's still one of my best friends. But I also don't approve of what she did.)

If you read the Bible as you claim, then you would know that and know the difference. If you don't like what the Bible says, then you are free to, and that's between you and God (or if you don't believe in Him, that that is your right also). But please don't make false accusations against God or Christians to make us appear hateful, because isn't being a good character and actually makes you look spiteful.

In the light of how God is placed on a pedestal by so many for being gracious, I don't wanna believe that God is unaccepting of homosexuals. I think the problem therein lies within the writtin parts of the Bible. People forget that that the Bible was in fact written by men, not God and anything written by man is prone to bias and imperfection, since man is not God and isn't perfect like God. Plus it just doesn't sound very logical of an all loving, all knowing God to hate someone for loving someone of the same gender. If I were God, and I had to choose between a model citizen who just happens to be gay and a cold-blooded killer who murders people for sport, I would choose the model citizen who just happens to be gay. I have no problem in saying so.

Contrary to what many IgnorantFundies think, being gay is not a choice - it's similar to (but not the same as) being left-handed; you're born like it.
To test out this theory 'of mine' try to remember when YOU made a choice to dig chicks instead of guys.

BUT, you know, there will STILL be people who find it more convenient for their own selfish psychological reasons (many of them stemming from feelings of inferiority) to believe Gays choose to be gay.

How can God be afraid of human beings? Of couse He is not homophobic, He is All Mighty.

Murder is a sin too, so does God fear murderers? Does He fear rapists? Does He fear liars? No, of course not. Murder and rape and lying are sins too, as homosexuality is. However, that doesn't mean God fears the people committing these sins.

God is All Mighty, afraid of NOTHING. So no, God is not homophobic. However, He has set down His rules, and some people disagree and point the finger back at God, attacking Him.

When the bible was written it wasn't in a communities best interest to have homosexuals. In order to grow a village needed every available man and woman pairing off, getting married and begating kids. There is nothing particularly wonderful about a person being gay now, but it's not as detrimental to society as it was 2000 years ago.

Homophobic doesn't mean a person "doesn't like" homosexuals but rather that they are afraid of them.

The overpopulation argument cracks me up. The Romans had big discussions about overpopulation 2000 years ago and here we are. I'm a pilot and I fly over vast areas of unpopulated area every day. The government pays my dad NOT to grow anything on part of his farm. There's not an overpopulation problem.

Homosexuality is just the very last step in self worship. God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do unseemly things. They so love themselves, they naturally choose someone as close to themselves as possible. The same sex.

Gees, I cannot wait until Armageddon as 90% of the world's population will be destroyed. Judging by your question, you just may be part of those ones facing destruction. Only God will judge you, but I have a strong suspicion....

Armageddon will be a welcomed sight. No more of these type questions or blasphemy will be seen or heard, not ever again, then the 10% of the survivors can get on with life on a paradise earth free from sin and death.

Whomever said soldiers and warmongers would be in heaven are liars. What does God's word the Bible say at Daniel 2:44 about worldly governments and militaries? They will be put to death, annialated, so whomever is telling you these lies will likely be put to death too.
