I do not identify with the country I was born in and live in, and so I have no pride in it.

It's easier to be proud of Oz of the past rather than Oz of now.
Oz in the past had certain larrikin individuality - Oz now is just another quasi-pseudo state of the USA.
I mean, following a ChickenHawks into Iraq was the pits and almost as bad as following them into Vietnam, but, I’ll forgive Vietnam because the age of cynicism hadn’t quite come upon us.
Now? We shoulda known better.

I am a proud American...I am proud to live in a fairly free democracy..Other countries are helped by us financially and otherwise...I am not saying all of our actions are justifiable but I believe our country has done more harm than good to the world.

With great power comes great responsibility. America would do well to heed these words. We have the capacity to do great good....and also to get into great big messes.
I am VERY proud of how generous our country is with foreign aid to countries suffering from war, disease and disaster. I am also proud of our national defense and the selflessness of the Armed Forces.
But I fear that sometimes we overextend ourselves with foreign policy to the detriment of our own citizens. There is so much at home that still needs fixing.
When all is said and done, America has done more good than harm and I thank God for that.
May He bless America and keep her on the right path.

Yes, I am. I am proud to live in a country where I am free. I am free to speak the language that I choose. I am free to choose the job that I want. I am free to live where I please. I am free to express my beliefs. I am free to go to a movie when I want. I am free to leave the country to go to another. There are tons more reasons, but I will not go into it all. My answer would be too long.

We are blessed to live in a nation that was established by men who stood on the belief that this is one nation under God.
Yet, today, this nation is attemting to extinguish all traces of God. Is that something we should be proud of? What would our Founding Fathers say about what has happened?
Would they rethink and rewrite safeguards that would have prevented the removal of God or do you think they would say it is alright to do away with God in the name of freedom?
Our Founding Fathers believed that the closer a man, this nation got to God, to their creator, the more freedom they would enjoy.
