Loosen the brakes lines slightly at the master cylinder, and have some one push the pedal down. Do not let up the pedal until the lines are retightened. If fluid comes out both fittings, the master cylinder works. There is an aluminum block that has an equalizer valve in it to equalize front and rear brake pressures. Repeat the process above on the outlet of this block. If fluid comes out retighten the connection and go the the line on the front brake calipers and repeat the process. If no fluid comes out to the front wheel brakes the equalizer is bad.
