I would say that I wish we would have gotten our kids home a lot sooner, or better yet not to have gone over there to begin with. Vietnam was pretty stupid but this one is really stupid and a horrible waste of kids lives.

How nice that you are so positive the US will "lose" the war in Iraq. What will YOU say? "Sorry, brothers & sisters, even though I served in the "last war", all I have to say is NICE TRY And I TOLD YOU THE WAR WAS and IS WRONG And I TOLD YOU THIS WAR WOULD END UP LIKE VIETNAM". So, did you enjoy being called a baby killer, and a war monger? Did you enjoy getting spit on, having people call you names everywhere you went? I think not.
I know I will say THANK YOU to all of them. I will say WELCOME HOME, WE ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL. I will say how much I missed them all...I have a few friends who have served a tour or 2 in the current war, and my youngest brother is currently deployed on his 3rd tour in Iraq. Now, I'd like to know what YOU will say.

The concept of "losing" this war is wayyyyyyyyyy past. It is not a case that the missing 7th Division of the Republican Guard will appear out of the desert and kick allied *ss. No. You will not lose a stand-up fight on the battle-field. But you have very much lost the war of 'hearts and minds' and have managed, I salute you for this level of stupidity, to alienate yourselves on the world stage. Well done America. I haven't seen such a total pig's ^ss mess of things since a certain General Custer thought " Heh you know I think we have a chance here".

Over 3000 i think....Incidently the final inhabitants of the U. S. here at house is dying at a swifter fee than infantrymen in Iraq. In different words we've greater deaths according to one thousand human beings at abode (approximately 8, i think) than according to one thousand infantrymen in Iraq (approximately 6). that's the main secure conflict in US historic previous. in case you study previous wars, you will locate that previous conflict had lots lots greater dying tolls. So the actual question is, what are we battling for? Why is it properly worth it?

You offer a hypothetical that I do not believe will occur, however, I would explain it in this manner. I am sorry that your sacrifice was discarded by well meaning but misguided liberal politicians. It is unfortunate that they have lost their vaunted compassion for the suffering hoards of this world and left the Iraqi people to starvation, civil war, and useless slaughter because they felt no responsibility to stay and stabilize a country which we destabilized. I am sorry that men like my brother who was killed in Afganistan, had their lives made meaningless by the lack of comittment and cowardice of lesser men, and it is their shame and not yours for this travesty. Does that about sum it up. Do me and everybody else a favor. try reading the authorization to use force in Iraq and the Iraqi liberation act and learn why we are really there before you snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And another thing for you to consider:
There has been a monthly average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of over 3,000 deaths. That gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.
The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 persons for the same period.
That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capital than you are in Iraq.
Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

First of all, individual service people didn't start the Iraq war, so blaming them is inconsiderate to say the least. Why do you need witty words to inflate your own ego? Were you out there in the heat and dust doing a very hard job in an even harder situation? Were you risking your life every day for a principle?
Why don't you try saying, "Welcome home, we've missed you."

NICE TRY
Did you actually serve in Vietnam?
People who didn't actually fight in the war always infer vaguely
The troops are great, they have gone down and dirty were all those gadgets don't mean crap. It wasn't them that decided not to guard Iraqi ammunition depots, it was Rumsfeld, that blunder alone has caused the majority of US casualties.
I was in Vietnam in 1963,66,67

Thank God we will never have to face that moment. God Bless the United States of America, our President and all of our military personell stationed around the World. We did not "lose" in VietNam. The last I looked they are still seperate from N. VietNam and a Democratic Society. Would not be so if we "lost."

The memories of such brave lads and lasses who gave the very best one can give is truly a victorious thing in its self.
I'll share one of my three friends stories of heroism. Privacy won't allow for names. This Iraq women was being paid to do our laundry everyday and one day her family found out and to them it was a disgrace to help the Americans so they didn't just kill for it no they pulled this women a part her dad and brother with a tractor. The big guy found out about it and cruised out their, but it was to late. He did bury the women and get a couple of shots of on the family as they ran like murders.
The big Guy did a lot of stuff like this before he was killed by a roadside I.E.D..
I like to think that you make the best out of what God blesses you with not blaming but praying. So you say to the ones that come home nothing you clap, clap, clap and pray and cry!
