I mean how bad would have to take care of your teeth for that to happen?
and could a dentist make the pain go away?

I have never seen an instance where someone's teeth became completely see through. Though when you lose enamel due to food or stomach acids they can become sensitive. Usually the fix is to cover the tooth or teeth with a crown (also called a cap) to protect it and stop it from being sensitive.
Hope that helps

Enamel is clear. Beneath it is dentin which is not.

Since the back of your mouth is black, it may show through if your teeth are thinned. This is not a good look.

Take a step back and get prevent loss of enamel because it doesn't just fall off. It is usually lost from slow erosion through acid or through wear with attrition.
