Have you had a MRI yet? If that is normal, then go find a chiropractor. It could be referred from your lower back or the knee is slightly out of position.

Having had ghastly knee problems for many years , Mine are now cured .
1. Take Ibuprofen for the inflammation and swelling (if any)
2. Ice it and keep it up as much a possible.
3.The one NON medicinal thing that fixed mine was a hinged knee brace. Not the elastic one that squeezes the tissue but the one with the Velcro to wrap above and below the knee, to take the weight off of the knee joint.
(try to borrow one they are about $60.00) Mine was completely fixed in about 2 weeks.
And A 9 day prescription of Prednizone.
Good Luck.

Sometimes arthritis doesn't show up on an Xray until it's too far gone. I find aleve helpful, I take 3 every 12 hours. Is it swollen? Hot? Red? Hurt more when you have been sitting or when you first get up? Try ice too. 15 minutes at a time, 2 X per day.

Get a MRI done and if that doesn't show anything push for an ultrasound. Either one could show something that an X-Ray could not.
If the pain is persistant it could be something very serious.

I don't know why your knee pains you but have you ever heard of Emu Oil or Super Blue Stuff? These are two great products that possibly could releive your pain and give you some comfort.
If you want more information, please contact me.
