Where did you find the 70% at? I am just curious. Maybe youtube has a video talking about it. Thats good proof right there. Vietnam still took place for like 10 years and a lot of the Nation was against it.

70% are not against the war. Maybe when you let a biased news organization asked a biased question you get that kind of a number but it's not realistic. In fact, people aren't against the war for the most part, they are against the lack of success. I guarantee you, if we were over there and everything was going our way, with very few casualties, Americans would be falling all over themselves to show how much they support the effort.

War is never put up to a popularity vote. Most people`don't have all the info or the critical thinking necessary to make such decisions. That's why you elect a good man like GWB to do this kind of thinking for you.

Because we're a Republic, not a Democracy.
The Founding Fathers recognized the merit of keeping power in check, even the power of mob-rule.

Yes, the occupation should be stopped.
But Congress obviously lacks the necessary leadership skills to stop it. And trying to get Bush to stop it is a lost cause.

The war is obviously the will of the people. We voted to put the people in office that are responsible for it.
