You really need a consultation to determine how good of a candidate you are. My husband had LASIK and was +6.5 and +6 with +3 astigmatism. He so far has had a good result, though he does experience moderate glare at night with bright lights that is very slowly improving...he is 11 weeks out from his LASIK.

Only a laser correction surgeon can tell you if you can qualify or not based upon your exam findings. You might, or you might not, be a candidate who has a very good chance at a wonderful outcome.

No one over the internet can see your eyes and take the measurements...

If you are interested at all, most laser correction surgeons do offer a free consultation...they are free because not everyone is a candidate for LVC surgery. Just research your local surgeons carefully for their education, experience, continuing education for the best results and most honest answers on if you are a candidate...you do not want to end up in a cattle mill where it's a cheap price and end up screwing up your eyes for life. My husband's cost was about $3400 for both eyes.

Good luck!

You are hyperopic with astigmatism. Although LASIK works for astigmatism, it does not work as well for high hyperopia.

Whether or not you qualify for LASIK depends upon some other indivdual factors in addition to your prescription. The only way to know if you qualify is to have an assessment by a LASIK surgeon. Consults to determine in you are a candidate are usually free.

Pretty much anyone qualifies these days for Lasik surgery.
Be careful though, I wanted to get it done, but I have dry eyes and was not a good candidate for the surgery. Go to someone who will do tests on you first to see if you can even have it done.
Also, they won't guarantee 20/20 vision, some people still have to wear a small correction (glasses) to get the best vision.
When I looked into it it was about $1700. about 4 years ago.
Just do your homework.
