I'm a Christian and I don't believe in miracles. I hate when people act as if they were saved by God's intervention. Example: A tour bus crashes. 60 people on board. Onlyl 10 survive. You will hear some of the survivors thanking Jesus for saving them or sparing them. Huh? Does that mean the other 50 people were not deserving? I don't think so. Some things we aren't meant to understand. I think your time comes when it comes.

Well it does sometimes happen that a baby has a miricale performed to save it's health or circumstance. As to why God heals some and not others, on a case by case basis I could not tell you but I do know that He has his reasons. He needs us to grow and learn and often pain is the only way he can get through our thick skulls, including the pain of others. But remember that justice will have it's final say about everything that has happened on this earth and if it seems that someone was unfairly treated here it will be made up in the after life. I know there are many that do not accept that answer but it is my belief.

Each person is brought to this earth to forfill a purpose. Sometimes what seems so cruel to us, to think how could God allow that to happen to such a innocent child? Well, that awful situation if you step back far enough and look, can cause things like Amber Alert's across the world. That is a blessing! That little child Amber, maybe that was her purpose, to help save millions of other kids. There's always a silver lining, you just have to have faith, be open-minded, and look for it! When a door closes, God opens another! There is a REASON FOR EVERYTHING that is done here on earth!

All of us are put here for a trial period, some need more time, some need less. My daughter was killed in a hiking accident; she fell 200 feet down the face of a waterfall to the rocks below. I was so angry at God for taking her. But all my other children said, "She was the best one of us; she was ready." Still I thought, "Why no miracle for Krista?" Then I started noticing how many little miracles were happening not only in my life but in the lives of my children. My other daughter, a long time drug abuser, went to treatment and has now been clean and sober for 6 years. My son, a lonely 30 year old bachelor was suicidal after his sister's death. Being Catholic I talked to his dead sister asking her to pray hard for him. And in two months he met his soul mate, later he married her and now has two children. He is very happy. The other brother has found his soul mate too, not that none of this could have happened anyway, but I think praying to her and her prayers for us have accomplished a lot of little miracles.
On Krista's birthday two years after she died, I wanted to get some flowers and bring them to her grave, but I had no money. I had one credit card that I thought was pretty close to maxed, but I thought I had to try because I couldn't just let her birthday go by without getting her flowers. So I went to a Safeway store and picked out a bouquet. I thought, "Since I am using this card anyway I will see if I can charge an eyeliner because I really need one." I looked alll over the store but that must be the only Safeway store in the world with no make-up display and therefore no eyeliner. Oh, well, what could I do? I just took the flowers up, charged them and left the store. I drove out to the cemetery and arranged the flowers in the vace. Then, looking up, I saw something blue shining in the sun on her headstone. It was a brand new Estee Lauder eyeliner!! I have never before seen any such thing on her gravestone and never since. To me that was a miracle. Like I said, so many little miracles happen to the rest of us because of Krista. I am no longer angry with God. I know His reasons may not be understandable by us, but they are good reasons just the same. When babies die they just get their reward sooner. Their parents and families have much to suffer, that is true, but from suffering comes strength of spirit, firmness of purpose and the knowledge that this life is only temporary and some life lessons can't be learned in any other way but through suffering.
"Without clouds the rain won't wash the land
Without rain the grass won't hide the sand
Without grass the flower's bloom won't grow
Without pain the joy in life won't show."

I wish I knew all of the answers, and it's often frustrating when we don't. All I do know is that there are lessons to be learned from both: living and dying. The lessons may be different for each of us who witness both - those who seeminly experience a miracle and survive an illness/disease, and those who seem to not receive a miracle. The miracle may indeed be an end to their suffering. And I do believe that God DOES answer prayers, sometimes the answer is not what we had in mind.

i do believe in miracles.
i know some are healed & some are not.
some healings/miracles are dependent on your faith.
i do not fully understand why some are healed & some are not.
i do know that in everything we are to give God glory.
there is a reason why we endure the things we do.
sometimes it is to bring us closer to God so that we will earnestly seek Him.
sometimes it is to strengthen us so we can help others.
God always has a mighty plan.
of course we don't always understand.... His ways are so much higher than ours.
one day, however, we will know as we are known.
then we will have no questions.

sure, I do have self belief in miracles and have been on the receiving end of God's staggering therapeutic, besides as seeing miracles someplace else. Your comments call to innovations Mark 6 v 5 -- Jesus did no longer carry out many miracles in His abode city by using fact human beings did no longer have self belief. perchance it somewhat is by using fact human beings do no longer assume miracles to take place that they do no longer see them of their lives.

God has a plan...say your father gets sick with cancer...the doctor gives him less than a month...you pray and he is healed...you and all of your family, and some friends, have their faith strengthened in God.
A mother and father lose their baby, a friend introduces them to our faith...although things are tough, they lean on the church...they get through all their pain and they realize that Jesus helped them in their time of need...their faith is created.
Of course those are just 2 examples and I know that's not how it always is...

This confusion comes from a general misunderstanding of what religion really is.
Get back to the Original Gospel rather than the Pauline substitute that is so popular these days. The fun free book Gospel Enigma will explain it.
Find it at...

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understand" Proverbs 3:5. It rains on the righteous and unrighteous. You can also ask God (In Jesus name) he'll tell you in his own way. Hope that was of help.
