run hot water through it and than straight Hydrogen Peroxide through it and than hot water again. Hydrogen Peroxide is not bad or harmful to your mouth so it won't hurt if some of it remanins in it. I actually put it in the water pick to help clean my teeth. Also if you have one of those small steamers use that to clean around the base, don't soak the base in water and dry it really good

I'm talking about the rechargeable hand-held unit. My reservoir seems to be getting a bit of
"gunk" and I think after watching the videos on cleaning of the table-top model, I will run some
chlorine bleach drops into it with lots of water - let that sit then rinse it thoroughly with clear
water.
