Ya she is. Do you notice she never gives her recipes? Only does she when they aren't her recipes, because she wants you to buy her books

highly disagree. i think she is one of the few genuinely true people in the 'celebrity culinary' world. look at the twinkle in her eyes. i feel the same about ina garten. they both love what they do, they love their frinds and family, and are more than happy to share.
i'm sure in some photos it looks phoney, but you can say that about anyone that is photographed a lot. especially in a photo shoot. think about the menotiny in it all. i'm sure she'd rather be in the kitchen or with her family.

I don't think so at all. She always comes across as being herself and very natural to me.
What I especially like is the fact that her and Barefoot Contessa look like they actually eat the food that they cook as opposed to Giada from Everyday Italian.

Not a phony just a southern girl - she was brought up to be cheerful and sweet no matter what. Her upbringing made her seem fake to some but if you have ever been to the south it is just the way folks are.

I dont think she is a fake.I do think many of the cooks on foodnetwork are way over rated though.

She bugs me, because she's so sugary sweet! And if I hear the word "romantical" one more time, I'm gonna puke! But, I think she's genuine.
