Well, first consider where your dreams come from. They come from your brain.
Who is the dreamer? You.
You and your brain are the same thing, so when it comes to dreaming -- you are your brain.

The dream was your brains message to you, and you only.
Nobody else can tell you what your dream means, except you. You, the dreamer, know how you (the one who is awake and asking about her dream), will interpret your dream, and however you interpret it is correct.

There is no wrong intepretation, as long as it's your own interpretation. Funnily, your dreaming brain knew you would go onto Yahoo! Answers and ask this question, so doing that is equally valid.

This is your brain's way of telling you, you miss Kate. Maybe you two stopped being friends over something silly. Whatever the reason is, it must be bothering you. You must miss Kate a whole lot. You mainly dream about something you think about constantly. You probably regret what you did, and maybe you're too scared to ask her to be friends with you again. Maybe you should go talk to her, and try to resolve things, and put the past in the past. Maybe once you two are friends again you'll stop having these dreams. I hope this helped! G'luck sweetie.

Hmm... I've sorta been having similar dreams cos i also stopped talking to one of my friends who also now isn't and like a month back she was in a lot of my dreams. I think it's cos it on your mind during the day or if you've seen her recently so you're just remembering her. That or you may feel guilty - did it end on bad terms?

See i fell out with my friend cause she was to put it politely a cow when we went on holiday together i was really ill and she didn't believe me then told lies bout me when we got back, to cut a long story short I'm really glad that we don't speak any more i get the feeling you do too about you're friend.

I don't think it's anything serious just that she's been on your mind lately even if it's at the back of it so that's what you've been dreaming about?!

Hope that all makes sense i can't really explain it that well I'm quite a babbler

dreams are just symbols that your subconscious creates to help you odeal with problems that your wakening state cannot deal with. this dream indicates that you still have some issues with you ex-friend that you need to work out with her. like maybe explaining to her why you ended the friendship without so much as saying why and saying good-bye to her.i'm sure your behaviour left her feeling at a loss and a bit confused. this is your conscience telling you to make right what you made wrong. you need to show some responsibility and deal with this in an adult way if you want this dream to go away and stay away.

According to Dreamcrowd:

Our dreams are full of symbolism with their messengers being all different types of people. It is very common to dream about our friends. These are individual that are emotionally valuable to us and we learn about ourselves through them. Dreams are very rarely prophetic, thus whether your dream was good or bad, don't expect it to come true. This dream is more than likely attempting to bring up uncomfortable feelings that you have about yourself or others. (Remember "uncomfortable" does not necessarily mean bad.) Dreams are created by our own thinking processes, our own thoughts (conscious or unconscious) create dreams, thus, the mind that created the dream also knows its meaning!!! See Also: People.

To see your own family in your dream, represents security, warmth and love. Consider also the significance of a particular family member or the relationship you have with them.
