I'm getting really nervous all the time. I get panic attacks and when that happens I shake uncontrolably. I stopped taking Zoloft because I don't want to be dependent on anything. I drink coffee, will that increase my panic attacks? What should I do? I don't want to take Zoloft anymore and I need to find a way to calm myself down.

Darling,if you have that sort of panick attacks with shaking, you have to go to a psichiatrist for some anxiety medication. Zoloft is for depresion.
Coffe is really bad because excites your nervous sistem..
Anyway, why you feel so nervous?. Do you have a concrete problem or is life so hard? .Why not try a theraphy?.
And last try to do some yoga or meditation, will be very helpful.
Good luck!!

You got to get off the coffee. My psychiatrist told me coffee was making my anxiety/panic attacks worse. I'm on meds for anxiety, etc. and she said it counteractive to drink coffee while taking anti-anxiety meds. So, yes, the caffeine will increase the anxiety/panic attacks. I have no other advice on how to calm down since I couldn't come up with anything for myself other than medication. Just try to stay away from the caffeine.

Coffee is a stimulant and may increase anxiety especially if you are prone to stress.

Personally I prefer not to use prescription drugs.
If you stopped cold turkey this may have an effect.
Some drugs you have slowly wean yourself off.

You best bet is to go to a therapist.
But failing that you can help yourself through what I will call thinking therapy.

I have several articles on my website to get you started.
They are all free.

Pay attention to what your thoughts are when you panic. It may be a reaction to thoughts. Just a guess....

Next time it happens don't resist it in the slightest. Let it happen 100%....
I'm sure this will help.

Don't drink coffee anymore. It is very bad for you. Drink decaf green tea or yerba mate. See site below to help yourself with panic. I guess you decided that you do not want to be a drug addict. Also do not ake cocaine, heroin, alcohol and do not smoke.

Hun? Even tho they say these pills are non addictive, you still have to be weaned off of them.Stopping them abruptly has made you ill.I did the same with a similar pill.Take one and it will stop, then ask ur doctor about putting you on a reducing course.Best of luck :)

facing your fears is often the best cure, however,it's not the easiest thing to do ,i'm sure the caffiene isn't helping, there's no shame in taking meds if you need them,my advice would be to find a pro to help you deal with the things that scare you.
