You really should provide a more detailed story.

In any case, it's the store's responsibility to prove that you did anything wrong and they have to show the evidence against you. But if you actually have conclusive proof that somebody else stole the item or that the store made some other kind of mistake, then you might be able to get the charges dismissed by the D.A. before it even goes to trial.

1. This is NOT a question as stated.
2. There is no such thing as proof that something did not happen.
3. The store has to prove you did, not the other way around.

You should be innocent until proven guilty. They are the ones who need to prove you did steal in a court of law in order to obtain a conviction.

Document everything, make note of everything....
If your good name is damaged because of this, it could be grounds for a lawuit against the company.

what you do not realize is that these stores have security cameras. these cameras making a constant recording of everything.if you go to trial saying you are innocent and they have you on camera,the judge will make an example out of you

Tell them to show you proof.

If they refuse then write a blog with painstaking detail.

Let the world know that they are attempting to defame your character.

Never forget to have a witness especially one that will not change their mind due to fear of retribution.
