My advice is to wait at least a year and a half. After this amount of time, the infatuation has usually disappeared and you are either left with real mature love or nothing.

Its truly up to the couple. I have heard of people going on blind dates and marrying them on that exact night they met and stayed married after 10 years okay. Then, you have the traditional way of waiting a year before you marry. Then, you have those that date for 10 years or more and then marry. Its truly a choice and a preference at times. You just know when your with that person and when you feel its right then you get married.

You can get married that minute if you want to, but you should make sure you know the person very well before you decide to get married. Years are better than months. Get to know the family and the aspects of the persons life. You should know w/out a doubt that you made the right decision when you sign the marriage license.

Wait at least a year. I got married two months after I met my ex husband and that's why he's my ex. My current husband and love of my life waited a year and a half before we got married and we are glad we waited. We were able to get married in the house we bought and it's been relatively smooth sailing ever since.

At least 10 minutes. Or alloted the time it takes to run over to the gumball machine at Pizza Hut and get the engagement ring from one of those pretty little plastic eggs!
