I assume it has a mother and it should stay with her for at least 8 weeks.

It sounds like you are doing a pretty good job at it now. Try feeding im the 1/8 cup of food 3 times a day. Puppies that age usually sleep a lot and this little one sounds like he has been through puppy hell and back. Poor thing. He will get more active as he grows up. I would leave the crate open during the day so he knows that it is not a bad thing. Get some puppy pads and the spray they have at pet stores that shows them where to go. Spray it on the pads and outside. He hopefully will get the hint after a while. Giving him baths is about the only way to get the smell off of him. They also have puppy perfume that you could try. Good Luck to you and the pup.

it is between teh 6-8 weeks that the mother would teach the puppy doggy socialization. often taken younger is when you get an over mouthy pup, a pup that is very unsure of itself causing social problems it is best to leave with mom until 8-9 weeks old but should get teh 1st shot at 6-8 weeks and if you are buying should be up to the breeder.

NO before 8 weeks is too early even if they are eating solid food. I've always been told 10-12 wks is the appropriate amount of time.

You really shouldn't take away a pup from his mom before he's 8 weeks old. If you can wait, wait. It will make your life a lot easier

It should really stay with the mom for at least 8 weeks. If it's a small breed, it should stay with mom till at least 10 weeks.

It would alright if the puppy is feeding independently of it's mother and no longer suckling. It must be weaned and eating puppy kibbles.

Most pups aren't surviving on their own before 8 wks. old and unless the pup has been eating on its own for a week or so,wouldn't suggest getting it before 8 wks. old.
