1. The conclusion does not follow from the premise. You said "wrong." How did that get to be "evil?"

2. The premise is incorrect. How can that be an assumption? It has not been demonstrated. And here you have given an example of just the kind of thing that would be an exception to that claim.

Socratic demonstration was never a good means of revealing any truth in the first place, and novices usually shoot themselves in the foot with it.

So what *was* your point, anyway?

The intent of the cutting...not all cutting is wrong. And, as in this case, with the surgeon, by permission/consent.

It is not wrong to cut people with knife. It is wrong only when it is not for their best intrest. I would only allowe a doctor to do that, anyway :)

What's wrong is that it isn't accurate or true. About as sensible as; "with your head in a hot oven and your feet in a tub of ice water, on the average you should be comfortable."
