Hey all,

My family and i just signed up at the local gym, and we wanted to get some exercise programs started. I have already started a lile before this, so i know what ined to do to get the results tht i want, however my mom is not really sure.

she is looking for a endurance kind of thing, you konw, get rid of a litle belly fat, tighten up the triceps area, just basically get in better shape and just look good.

she is unsure of a routine to achieve this. I only know the routine for strenght, not endurance. I assum low weight and high reps? how many stes, 3 right? I was wondering if anybody could help us set upa program with her, and maybe recommend like foods too or something?

thank you very much!

The best way to gain endurance is high reps with low weight.

If your mom is new to the gym,she should use the machines:
leg press
bicep curl
tricep pressdown
chest press
row
abdominal crunch
Your mom should start out slow-so that she does not injure herself.
I would recommend 3 sets of 12 repitions for now.
30 minutes of cardio.
She should exercise 3 days a week.
Hopefully, the gym has someone there that can show your mom the proper techniques to the exercises and can show her how to adjust the machines to her height. They can also help her to decide what weight to use.
The best foods to eat are:
carbohydrates-potatoes,rice,pasta
carbs are fuel-they will give you energy
protein-lean turkey,lean chicken,tuna
protein will help build the muscle.
Eat as little sodium and fat as possible-drink 64 oz of water a day.
Good Luck-if you have any more questions-feel free to email me.

your mum needs to start off slow. for her to get into shape the best recommended way of doing this is walking, and swimming, and the right diet.

day 1
start time
start with walking a mile, at her normal pace
finish time
day 2
start time---
quicken up the pace
finish time
increase the pace daily. do this for a week.

week 2
increase the distance to a mile and a half, at normal pace, then on a daily basis increase the pace,

week 3
increase the distance to 2 miles at normal pace, then on a daily basis increase the pace,

by this time your mum will be in better shape and her weight will be down a few pounds. she will lose wight on her hips, and belly.

why wast money going to a gym when it can be done so easy this way, that is if she has the will power, to stick with it, and with your help walking with her then she will make it,,, because all she will do at the gym is be put on a walking machine anyway

she then can decide if she wants to go to a gym when she is in shape after the walking.

I do 3 mile walks with my canines close to the sea coast or on the harbor, Its incredibly elementary, I pop in my ipod relish the view and get exercising, often times i carry an prolonged an significant different to communicate with.. i'd decide for to initiate walking. Watched my cousin drop a ton of weight from walking!

I know of a website that could not only help your mom, but all of you. It specializes in 'abs' but also talks about nutrition & what foods to eat. If you want a guide it is a good site to check out:
