I would like to add, the Democrats want to put the power of Eminent Domain back in the hands of the states[indiviual] Give them the opportunity to decide where the lines should go. Not the Feds. I'm sorry if I wasn't specific.

If power lines do not get put up -- or placed underground -- then people don't get power.

So, while I oppose govt taking of property -- there are some infrastructure requirements that just need to exist.

But there are better ways to do it than our current method, ways that are less intrusive and less disruptive to property owners usage of their own land.

Such a grant had to come from the hand of the President of the United States with it's confirmation from the United States Senate. The Secretary of State would only be acting as a (Excessively) well paid courier . If this proves to be true, then that establishes the legal grounds for the recall of the US Senate, All of the Senate. Prove it,then contact your State's Legislature and local "Talk Radio" stations.

Power lines do not take a person's property. A pole is no big deal.

Say you own 10 acres of land BEHIND a strip of land that is 10 acres from the nearest electric pole. Do you not think you are entitled to electricity because what you own is not next to a pole?

All the electric company does is take a few days to install and put up the lines, the property is not taken from you.

Property is taken from you if roads are widened. It is going to be if you are on a major busy road that needs widened, they will usually take half of needed space from each side of the road. (About a couple yards worth). To make the road less busy and jammed up with traffic. I would willingly sacrifice this if my road was backed up and it took me 30 min to get to my house in a 4 block stretch of road. Then it takes 1 min. to get home, my land is paid for at its book value, it is a few minutes less spent mowing grass, and my kids can walk across the street without dodging cars since they get by quicker and get off my block.

I don't believe in eminent domain mostly because it is not applied unilaterally. They use it to take the land of the poor or middle classes but I never see them screaming the land of the rich must be taken for the greater good.

The democrats think you should lose you homes or business so they can build condos.

Democrats say they care about the common man until they want to build something they want than if they can't buy you out they have the government take it.

There is no answer.

It isn't "imminent" domain, it is "eminent" domain.
