I know how nervous you are I was in the same position. Dress appropriately and act casual. Start off with a handshake unless they offer you a hug haha.

These days everyone does their own thing. Maybe just shake their hand and ask how they are? when you know them better youll be able to hug, mothers are usually over emotional anyway so dont go in all hugs or they'll label you a bit of a hussy!

One of the first times I met my now husbands family it was for a sit down dinner at his mothers house. It was awkward feeling, but I tried my best to be polite etc... As my "boyfriend" and I left the table, as we had something else to do that evening, I secretly put corn, carrots and peas over my teeth and as I told them all how nice it was to meet them, I smiled a great big smile. I knew that as soon as we left they were going to talk about us, so I gave them a small prompt into their conversation as we left! They all thought that it was funny and it seemed to relax them a bit also.

It's best to wait for them to initiate something because you don't know what makes them uncomfortable. Just be polite and say "hello" or "nice to meet you" and wait for them to initiate any physical closeness.

Just be yourself nice and polite which I'm sure you can pull off sincerely. Relax and have fun and if you go with an open mind and looking forward to it then you should have no problem. Best of Luck =]

Put your hand out and say its nice to meet you(once your boyfriend make the introduction) smile and ask how they are doing, and it will go from there. Good Luck!

I greet everyone with a handshake or a kiss on the cheek. Make eye contact when you first meet them and smile :)

Be yourself. If their Son cares enough for you to introduce you to his family, then they need to accept you for who you are. Never put on a show for anyone, just be you.

Your best bet is to offer your hand for a handshake.
I doubt he'll hug you like his mother did.
