Trigeminal neuralgia is the worst pain I have had. So bad you can not move or speak. Attacks last about 5 minutes but keep coming back. No cure and only one drug will control it.
Trigeminal neuralgia causes a sudden, severe, electric shock-like, or stabbing pain that lasts several seconds. The pain can be felt on the face and around the lips, eyes, nose, scalp, and forehead. Symptoms can be brought on when a person is brushing the teeth, putting on makeup, touching the face, swallowing, or even feeling a slight breeze.
Trigeminal neuralgia is often considered one of the most painful conditions seen in medicine. Usually, the pain is felt on one side of the jaw or cheek, but some people experience pain at different times on both sides. The attacks of pain may be repeated one after the other. They may come and go throughout the day and last for days, weeks, or months at a time. At times, the attacks can disappear for months or years. The disorder is more common in women than in men and rarely affects anyone younger than 50.
David Y ..... Sounds like you have the same condition as mine. Search it on the web!

Many times.
Most recent intense pain that made me cry was Christmas day 2006.
I wanted cereal, but i only eat it with warm milk, so i put the mug of milk in the microwave, but i left it in for too long, and without thinking i just picked up the mug handle and burnt my hand, and the pain was just.. urgh. This was around 12:30am, and i couldn't get to sleep until around 5:00am because i was in so much agony.
Then an hour or so later, i woke up with the worst back and stomach pains I've ever experienced [and i get them pretty bad, particularly when I'm "surfing the crimson wave"], and i went to the bathroom to try and sort myself out. I was sitting on the lid of the toilet seat for a while, then i stood up to leave the bathroom and just fainted, and when i came to, i was in a very awkward position, and my head was spinning.
Needless to say, i was crying throughout the whole ordeal.
When i finally got back to sleep, i was awoken 2 hours later to open presents.

Yep, a few times but the most embarassing time was on holiday with my family and thought i'd foolishly have a go on an obstacle course with my boys (still don't know what possessed me)well running round it showing off to kids and 'bang' went over and done my ankle. Cried like a big baby. We had to spend 3 hours in a Welsh hospital, never again.
Yes Bellend i know what you mean thats got to be the worst crying ever, i was the same when one of my twins died as a baby. It just comes from so deep inside, thank god it gets easier to live with eh!

For about 15 years I suffered from cluster headaches. These are referred to as "suicide headaches" because of the intense pain. Neurologists state that the pain from these is the most intense a human being can have. I don't disagree. I've been shot, ruptured a disc, ruptured a large bowel, had numerous gashes/lacerations, had a heart attack, and had migranes for about 10 years. No comparison. I would take any (or even ALL) of the above to avoid one cluster. The eye behind which the pain manifests itself waters like crazy.

I am a person who hardly ever cries, but once when I was a kid and had a toothache, it was so bad that I broke down in my mother's arms and cried like a baby.
I'll never forget that day, I felt so weak, embarrassed and vulnerable.

Yes when I was pregnant, My hormones caused me to get a head ache about 3 months All I could take way Tylenol every 6 hours. It was worse than having the baby. But after he was born, I never had the problem again.

yes Ive just had a 14 centimetre tumour removed along with my womb due to cancer and i felt fine getting all the hospital pain relief but when i got home with just some paracetamol i thought i would never live through the pain. when i gave birth it wasn't half as bad as this but thankfully I'm much better now.
