Personally, I find it very important to have most of your software updated simply for security reasons. There are many versions of malware that will take advantage of outdated software and find a way into your system. Now, when the update is installing, it might possibly slow down your system, but once the update is finished, it should be fine.

You mean windows XP 2002? Anyway updates are essential to keep your operating system working at its best, and do not slow down your computer by any noticeable amount.

Personally I think they do.
I have regularly installed updates for XP and found that recently the security updates have been too busy checking my computer that everything else was much slower. So much slower in fact that I did a complete restore and reinstalled only the system updates , the difference in speed is amazing.
Remember to backup important files first.
Good luck

Coincidentally, it does not use as lots reminiscence as establishing an entire new window every time, however the tabs -do- upload up. Your computing device will decelerate ultimately. to repair this, take your tower to a working laptop or computing device save and say you would be wanting to enhance your RAM, do not act stupid, and it will fee you no extra desirable than $30 to have 2-three times extra reminiscence, allowing you lots many tabs, domicile windows, courses, and swifter loading circumstances. i'm able to open approximately 40 tabs in Firefox without difficulty, and that's at the same time as listening to song, reading eBooks, chatting on msn and downloading video clips...you probably did not hear that final one! reliable success.

I think they do a little because each security update has a number for malware. If your PC/laptop settings and if you left a tick or dot for'allow updates'your PC will check for updates even if it has already searched. If you see any duplications in add/remove...it might be a good idea to delete them.

not at all - sometimes, there may be a piece of code that does not agree with your system and makes the pc feel different
that tends to go on the next update
