Great Q - One that has been mused throughout the ages because moments of emotion rarely coincide at the same intensity..Shakespeare handles this topic brilliantly.
For me - it is a question of either we come off badly or the species does.
When I love someone more than they love me - I am moved, motivated - feel alive. At the same time though it is painful.
When it is the other way round I am indifferent, non-commital and unmoved. There is little pain involved.
Therefore for me I would rather the former. At least then I would feel sommat. I would come off badly - in that finding the stronger mate prospect meant personal sacrifices but the species would benefit.
I could never settle with someone that did not make me feel truly alive and inspired. Ever.

How can anybody know how much another person loves them. People love in different ways and with different intensity. Does not mean they love each other less.
When two people want to share their lives and want the best for the other person that is love but there is no way it can be measured.
If you feel you are the most important person in your partners life that's love and it does not matter who loves more.
Having said all that seem to remember a quote from a book "whoever kisses first loves the most"!!

It should be equal but to be honest it is always better for you if the person loves you more! I would hate to love some one more than life and they just think they love me!

Neither. Love is not a race, a game, or something you keep score on. It's not a contest of who loves who more. When you love someone, you love them. That's that. You accept them for what they are.

Someone who loves me more than I do, so I could trust that person...and I fall in love easily so I'm pretty sure if he treated me like a guy should treat a girl, I would love him as much as he loved me or more.

Someone who love me more. I feel more secure that way. Even he is out for fun, he still know the way back.

I think it is better to be with someone who believes they love you more than you love them but who you believe you love more than they love you.
